We had an ADT hardwired security system (originally Brinks then bought out by ADT). Cost went up to $47 a month plus the old system required a landline, AT&T at $98 a month. I replaced it with a Ring system, dumped the land line, and pay $100 a year for monitoring now. I installed a Ring Retrofit unit which allowed me to wire up to my existing door sensors and glass break detectors, added a wired Ring Pro doorbell. Love this system. True if I lose internet or power I lose my doorbell video but all the alarms still work since the Ring has cellular backup. I have a yet to be installed wired floodlight camera for the back deck. I also installed ring magnetic sensors on my two garage doors. Being the nerd I am I also hacked a ring sensor and wired it to my grinder pump outside for a high tank level alarm. lol

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
That I didn't know (ADT). The PO of the house had an ADT system. I removed a lot of the sensors though.

That video is from a wired spot light. At night it records in IR. When it detects motion, it turns the lights on.

That reminds me...When I was in Florence and we stayed in an apartment and they were retrofitted with plumbing (because the building was older than plumbing) so ALL the sewage for the apartment flows to the bathroom toilet and behind the toilet is a 10 gallon box with a macerator...So when you flush or use sinks/showers the thing grinds everything to fit down the 2 inch pipes...
That lead me to inquire as to what it was...and then I saw videos on cleaning them when they malfunction...OOOOOFFFFF....don't flush dental floss...someone learned that the hard way.
Here is the engraving on the building that says....it's old

Grinder inside the apartment oh lawd. Ours is more modern, house drain lines go to an buried tank outside which has the grinder pump, which pumps it to the county sewer lines buried under the street. Much better than our previous house which had a stand-alone septic tank system with drain lines, that had to be pumped out on occassion.

Dip? It's in a constant state of dip. I have no idea why it's lifting off now. There were 4F's floating around that there was a huge insider buy in.

On other news I had laser cataract surgery done for both eyes now, vision is great again. Due to market conditions I had to sell a kidney to pay for it but well worth it.

All I see is 4A's for insider selling of what looks like shares issued as compensation for employment...

I have ubiquiti stuff. NVR in my house, nothing cloud based. 24/7 record with motion notifications. Can set to only record motion though.

Everything is cat6 and powered off a PoE switch that runs off a UPS.

It’s not the cheapest setup but it isn’t Chinese hardware and software either.
