is exactly what the gov'mint deserves. They didn't work to earn my tax money. I did.

I would prefer no taxes of a general nature, and only a Use Tax for each specific type thing you actually do use. Obviously some things would not quite fit into that scheme, such as Firefighters and LEOs.... My second choice would be a flat tax.

 

Well, I get off at 11pm at night, so uhhh

Had a delivery estimate on my fridge today for 7am-11am. What do you know they were here at 7:30am.

You're lucky. We get "delivery estimated at between 10AM - 2PM" and half the time, the truck shows up at anywhere between 4 - 8 PM

 

I rarely eat ice cream at work, it's all the stuff we put into the ice cream that's hard to walk away from.

 

That's the benefit to being in bumfuk PA; I was the furthest out so I was the first delivery...

@OneGiraffe hows your sister like living in TN? You all ever coming to see them?

 

We're in kind of bumfuk KY... 4 miles outside the closest town, of around 4000 people. We get deliveries all times of day or night. FedEx and UPS are usually pretty on-time and during the daytime. But when we order home delivery from Wally World, all bets are off. Our local WalMart is 6 miles from our house. In the next town up the highway (~20 miles), there is a mega WalMart warehouse/distribution center. Some of the WalMart items are delivered by an employee from the local store, some from the distribution center. We have had them deliver as late as 11PM on one occasion.
