    Hi all,
My first ride was an 87 Toyota p/u 4x4 mt. A few more in the intervening years. The current ride is an 01 Tundra 3.4 mt and last week I put a deposit down to wait for a 23 sport access mt. Wondering what the chances are it gets built before the 24s start..
    cheers!

If you have a VIN, then you’re OK. If you don’t, your dealer is just fucking with you.

I knew it would be a long wait but are you saying it is already to late to get a 23?

That’s not what I’m saying. Did the dealer actually tell you that he has an allocation for a specific vehicle with a specific VIN that they’re going to build for you, or is he just going to put you on a waiting list like some dealers do? The dealer is more than happy to take your money.

Yeah, just on the list. I'm ok as my old Tundra is still running (knock on wood).

I would call around and find a dealership that KNOWS that they have one coming, have them show you the VIN and spec sheet, the current build progress, and reserve it.
