It's downtown Bentonville aka Walmart headquarters so it's a nice town, but the rents are just getting out of control. Idk how they're wanting to chatge more as we're going into a recession

I just hate Arkansas in general, I mean not the same way I hate Illinois, but a different hate.

 

The northwest part is almost like a different state, more like Appalachia and/or the midwest than the deep south. I mostly just like the scenery anyway.

You're from there, so you would know what parts are good or bad.

I hate Arkansas cause it's where I experienced some real racism out there. I mean real, openly, racial slur slinging old hicks from the Hills have Eyes sort of shit.

 

Well I can't but others could. There's not a lot here for under $2200 a month but plenty in between that and 3k

 

But the trails that @CS_AR posts about look freaking beautiful

 

god damn lol. Our market is always going up as people move here. Someone told me they were paying $3200 a month to rent a 3 bedroom house here and I have friends paying $2500/mo for a 2bed/2bath apartment.

 

The scenery and the food in AR are the only things I enjoy about getting out of the car for while driving through that state lol

 

I've definitely heard good stuff about the food; old friend from Louisiana always made gumbo and other stuff whenever he'd invite me over

I'm from CNY originally but I moved here almost 3 years ago. I've noticed a lot of confed flags etc. out in rural areas, but you see that stuff out in the boonies up in NYS too. I haven't spent much time down in southern AR, but I've heard the racism can be more overt down there.

I just like that we have the Ozark and Ouchita NFs so nearby with enough trails and hikes for a lifetime. That makes it so much better than living out in the middle of Iowa or something with nothing around for days.
