Hello I have a 2011 Tacoma 2.7 with no power at the AC compressor, already checked fuse, relay and all good. AC clutch engages when connected to another power source. Any suggestions, thanks

Does the A/C light on the control panel turn on and not flash when you turn it on?
Is there refrigerant in the system?

Thanks for the reply, yes ac light is on not flashing, I discovered when I unplugged the sensor on the H line and crossed the terminals on the plug the clutch engaged and spun freely with the engine. I think this would determine that the Freon is low or none. Any suggestions on a Freon kit with pressure gauge.
    Thanks

I definitely wouldn't go that route... for one they're expensive as hell for a filling hose that's either disposable or so cheesy it might as well be, and for two, good luck finding one that doesn't have leak sealant in it... which isn't good to put into anything you care about.

If you want cheap, I'd just buy a HF manifold, and then you can use $10 cans, or be a boy scout & blow $$$$ for a 30lb keg (oh, how I wish I'd bought one when they were $75ish)... just beware that you can make bad things go kaboom if you don't know what you're doing...

I agree, use a manifold gauge set so you can see pressure on both sides and don't use refrigerant with stop leak and never add more than the system was designed for (there's a label under the hood indicating refrigerant capacity).

Or take it to a shop and have it recharged.

You really should try to find and fix the leak though, I'm not sure but I believe by 2011 it should have factory dye in the system that will glow under UV light to aid in finding leaks.
