Street and Steel Oakland jeans are awesome. Can't even tell they are moto gear. Can usually catch them on sale at cycle gear for around $120, even less if you can find a 15% off coupon.

Well I dropped the rear rack off at the powdercoater today, he said he's real backed up, at least 10 days. I heard that as 2 weeks plus. I've been dealing with this guy for years, he's done lots of work for me, sandblasting and powder coating. We chatted for a bit, he said he was going in for surgery tomorrow, I asked what for? assumed it was his back again, he said he has a canceros tumor in his gut, that surprised and scared me. But he was still working his butt off as usual and spray painting some industrial stuff, the guy just doesn't stop.
So since it's going to be awhile before I get the rack back I decide hang my waxed canvas bags.
Not to big and they still retain the classic look.

    Not to wide......
    20230510_200225.jpg
And still plenty of room for a passenger.

Start a 4 day mini vacation tomorrow, I'm going for a ride!

Someone on FB was selling the Amazon RFY shock for $40 (it's usually $70+ tax for a pair) so I jumped on it to not deal with selling the second shock.

I like the look a lot! I have plans to clean up the rear end of the bike some more so this is a nice mod.

I haven't ridden with it yet but I'm not expecting any crazy performance gains out of a $40 mod.

My wife and I's 1st anniversary is coming up, which is apparently the "paper anniversary." She got this made and printed out and framed. I freaking love it (and her haha).

I have those on my Yamaha and @spencermarkd has them on his Honda I think. There was a guy on Reddit a while back that would rebuild them relatively cheap. Apparently their main flaw was that they were inconsistent with oil levels and nitrogen charge. Otherwise, you have a really good shock there.

She can actually tip toe it, where she couldn't with the Navi or the CT90, so there's hope!

I have them on two hondas, actually. On the CB750 they're great, on the CT90 I got them with way too high of a spring rate so they're stiff as hell. They've held up good over the years though. No color changes or weird rust or anything.

Pretty sure my neighbors are hating me this morning. Decided to ride my Buell to work and that Vance & Hines muffler doesn't muffle a whole lot. After all the miles I put on the FJR this thing feels tiny.

Who doesn't love the sound of a motorcycle in the morning?! I gotta say I don't feel as bad when I fire up my bike now, but think I'll be ditching the stock exhaust soon :)

I second these, I wear them daily to work. If you wait for the right sales, you can get em for $100/pair

why you gotta out me like that! haha fortunately I'm very considerate of my neighbors (aside from the existence of my exhaust).

Exhaust sure is loud though on start, since our driveway is a shared driveway, so it creates a perfect soundstage for the dbs to echo off of. But if our neighbors can let their dogs bark through the night, I think I'm alright
