Yup. I try not to start the bike until all my gear is on and I'm completely ready to leave. but with how the homes and driveways are structured, my bike exhaust points up towards their second floor window, and back towards a corner where their wall and our wall meet lol.

My roommate who lives on the third floor says he uses my bike starting in the mornings as his alarm clock. He's probably been waking up late all this week lol

Lol too funny. My garage is detached and behind the house so it echos between them. I do the same and don’t idle very long before I get going. I like to power wheelie up the driveway upon return though haha

LOL my driveway is too short, a power wheelie would end up with me either mangled in their garage, or riding through/into their front door. Can't beat that townhome livin' :D

My driveway’s just long enough and has a slight incline, I crack the throttle open front wheel comes up for a bit then slow down before the garage. Wife was not thrilled when she saw me do that lol

Well, fuk work, I had a really good day out on the bonneville today. 266 miles towards the break in miles. I'm at 459, need 600 for it's first service. Man I'm loving this bike. It's a very tourqey motor.

I just realized NEBDR is 1300 miles from Binghamton NY to Maine/Canada border. Binghamton is probably 250-300 miles from me. But then its x miles to get home too. My rear tire supposedly has about 2500 miles left in its 5k per year life. So i need to order another tire asap.

Anyone have any recommendations for a 80/20 offroad tire, before I drop $250 on a MotoZ Tractionator Adventure?

Navi got the 12" rear wheel and tire today!

I left the tire in the sun for a bit and was able to spoon it on with two tire levers fairly easily.

I had read online that it took a lot of grinding of the engine case to get the tire to fit, but mine actually fit with no grinding (but it was close). I ended up only having to take a little bit of material off the exhaust support area. I also had to adjust the center stand so it wouldn't hit the bigger rear tire, but all in all super stoked with it! I just need an exhaust now.

Man that looks so much better. You gotta let us know if your top speed improves. I'd also be curious if the tire starts to rub when it's at speed.

Way better than the joke of a 10” wheel.

    Dang! Does this work?

Hmm, not sure where the tire rub would come from? Even at 55mph I don't think the tire would be expanding enough to rub (it is belted after all). I've run wheels/tires on cars with less clearance. :D

I will definitely keep you updated with any issues, though.

Right? The 10" wheel looks so dumb. I bought a $20 Amazon universal fender but can't get it to fit so I'll need to decide on if a fender is worth it.

Forgot to post this up. It's a nice alternative to a tire hugger. Too bad Pyramid doesn't know how to measure things. I had to bend the metal bracket to squeeze it in between the passenger peg mounts. This makes it sit s little close and lightly rub when riding, but I don't think it'll do any harm.

Lol. Not quite, but hopefully it'll protect the rear shock.

Many years ago at a previous job I worked third shift, 11 pm to 7 am. When I would ride to work I made sure all of my gear was on and bike loaded and would drift partway down the hill in front of my house before starting my bike. Coworker had a Harley Davidson Lowrider with full Vance & Hines exhaust that was loud AF and he rode to work pretty often as well. His house was situated in such a way that his garage and driveway was probably less than 15 feet from his neighbor and sadly their bedrooms. He thought nothing of starting his bike at 10:30 at night and blipping the throttle a few times before he left. Neighbors had their first baby and this asshat would still do that even though it would have been no problem for him to drift down his driveway to the street before starting his bike. He'd actually show up at work and be laughing about waking their baby. I told him straight out if I were the neighbor I'd go buy a cheap POS lawnmower, remove any muffler it might have, and park it outside HIS bedroom while he was trying to sleep and let it run wide open until it blew then go buy another mower and repeat the lesson until he learned.

I think all of my years on night shift taught me to be more considerate.

Some peoples kids. Misery does love company I suppose. He sounds like a real winner.

Husband leaves for work at 0430 and lugs his harley (stock pipes) as quietly as possible out of the drive and up the road. Only two other houses up the road but still.

Ordered another tire. Same as I had due to some reviews on the Africa Twin forums saying the MotoZ tire has death wobble over 80mph (not that i go that fast anyways)

Ive had good performance with the Shinko 805, so I ordered another. Im not a brand fanatic, but cant beat $144 shipped for a rear 150/70/18. This time around I ordered a Tusk spoon kit and a new rim strip. Might also need to get some bead paste like @w.adventures mentioned the last time. Soap just didnt do it for me (plus I had covid when I mounted it last)

but why tho and Built2Ride like this.
