I think I had a 2007 or 2008 GX wagon with the diesel and manual transmission. They are not very comfortable and the ergonomics are straight from the 1980s. With that said if you are a Land Cruiser guy you’ll love every moment of driving one. They are also surprisingly not very spacious inside for how big they are.

I posted a while back about hoping for green, not realizing there looks to be green per the picture from Toyota with the Bluetooth speaker.

Now, it could be the lighting but that greens looks a little different than the Army Green, right?

My GLA45 has a DCT and man does it shift fast.

The reason I asked is because the new ranger raptor has them.

My daughter’s Santa Cruz has a DCT with paddle shifters and a 2.5 L turbo engine. That thing will fly. It’s much faster off the line than my manual Tacoma.

Been awhile since I have been around the Baja race stuff, thought of this on the way home from work. What about paddle shifters on a manual valve body? Haven’t followed desert racing for some time, not sure what they are running now, manual valve body autos were the hot setup, since you couldn’t keep a manual trans together.

Crazy that they even put a DCT in that thing. I like it though

My GTi had them, they were fine there. But in a Taco? No.

I wish Toyota would make a built in tonneau cover. That’s the part of the Santa Cruz I like the best

Lots of good stuff in the works for the Toyota! It looks dirty in the pics. Maybe we’ll get a more rugged and off road capable GX? Please be a Defender competitor…

They seem pretty practical. Im thinking about keeping my Tacoma for truck stuff and getting one of those for commuting and every else. A plug in hybrid version of it would be even better. I hope they build one.

a plug in hybrid version would be great

the Santa Cruz only gets about 22mpg

I thinks it’s true what they say about turbo or supercharged engines

you can either have eco or boost but not both

I hope the new Tacoma has more range; my Pro can only go about 320 or so on a tank of gas

I had a 21 Corolla nightshade Hatchback it was fun but the paddles with the cvt were kind of weird. I think I saw another new spy photo of the Trail Hunter yesterday. And its 1 week till unveil and I took holidays next week.

I hope Toyota takes a page from Fords playbook. Reveal May 10, order banks open up 5/26, job 1 8/7.
