Portable generator

 

Yeah but then you might as well have a cordless.

 

That’s what generators are for.

 

Cordless will never be as powerful as corded.

 

Don’t get me wrong… my Dewalt 20v Atomic 1/2” impact is a brute… but sometimes 110v wins or pneumatic.
The EGO are also excellent, except the batteries can be consumed before the job is done, so have spares.

 

The locations we were using them inbwouldn't really be a place to have a generator.

 

We used a Milwaukee sawzall at my park district job day in and day out and did great. Since we had a government budget we had 1 or 2 12 amp high output batteries which would last all day. Having a generator means now you have to lug it all 1000 feet to the location and carry a gas can with you. Nope. I'd rather have reduced power but more convenience, no cords to deal with and be overall lighter.

 

Yeah I know what you mean. You don't always need all the power all the time and a cordless will do just fine but when you need all the power you can corded is best.
