Toyota has become one of the largest auto makers on the planet. I don't think they need to take any advice from Ford marketing.

They and every other car company does this tease marketing. I can care less. I'm not in a rush to see it.

They really don’t have to do any marketing, since Toyotas sell themselves. Theses teasers are bullshit though. Won’t frustrate me enough not to buy another though. Waited this long for some major updates what’s a few days/months? Drove my 1st Gen for 20 years, only had my 3rd for 1.5 years, not much in hurry to turn around buy another. Need a few years to work the bugs out of the new platform anyways.

If a consumer is lured by marketing alone, they are poor consumers.

Hopefully once the reveal is made, it doesn't feel like a football to the groin treatment.

One more week before an occurrence that’s happened only 4 times in almost 30yrs….

However very unlikely, I would argue that no matter how new & wonderful, a TRD Pro without a detuned Tundra 3.4T and front locker would be at least a mild disappointment. Putting into context, we now have Gladiator, ZR2 & Raptor offering f/r lockers, and the Ranger line offering two (2!) turbo sixes.

Additionally, a recurring knock on Gen3 Pro’s has been too little separation between a loaded TRDOR, so an exclusive six is Toyota’s opportunity to offer a real performance difference for all that extra cash+ markups, instead of a set of fox shocks and pieces of flair.

I can understand why people can get frustrated. I piss off my entire family by being the most patient person they know. It frustrates some. But this truck is just a thing. Not a big deal in my life journey. Peace and Love, Peace and Love

Some will act like it because THEY didn't see what THEY wanted. I can hear it now "They make a new gen truck and don't put in a xxxx' . It'll happen. Toyota can't satisfy everyones little needs.

A turbo 6 would be awesome for TRD Pro. They know it’ll sell at $58,000 too since that’s what the others are priced at.

I could do without all that chest thumping add-ons. Majority of those bro-dozers will never dirt. Wish they work more on efficiency and keeping it reliable. Have been waiting years and years for a 30+ mpg Toyota truck, highly doubtful the 4G will achieve that. We might gain 1-2 if we’re lucky. Diesel would satisfy my needs, but that will never happen. These power wars between manufacturers is kinda ridiculous.

The tease marking stuff from all the manufacturers is kinda dumb, why frustrate potential customers, just to let them down? Is it just me, or does the new Ranger already look dated? Maybe because it has been available elsewhere in the world for awhile now.

Same, it is just a truck…a means to haul our asses places. Not in market for a new truck, do like to look though. I am just here for the bullshit sessions, time wasted to make the work day go faster to get to the fun stuff. Hope my boss doesn’t catch me on here, I am self employed, he can be a real dick!

Guessing 25-26 with 245s…since I could squeak out 23-24 out of my 3G with the stock tires.

I did leave the air damn on, FTW! :D

What'd you do with it? I'm in a 2020 Hatch and I have some buyers remorse and negative equity. :(

I only had 21km on it when I sold it. Some of my underwear gets more time than vehicles. It was good for that time it was just a second car traded it in on a bike then sold the bike and have my Yaris now

I sounds like people are getting mid 20’s mpgs on the highway. It’s not the greatest but still much better than the 17 I get now.

I wonder what percentage of the Tacoma market consists of people like us (versus mindless drones).
