I'm sure that they aren't lost.
They were just easier to hear/feel a year ago when they were new.:D

I had a customer about 2 months ago that had no clicks on a brand new set of front MRA's. His shop did the strut assembly and had no idea there were detent balls in there, so they didn't think about it. He was able to order some and put them in to get it clicking in again.

I haven't messed with the rebound adjusters since I installed and set them before they were installed. Most likely they are just dirty.

    3" lift / Levelled / KO2 AT
About to pull the trigger on a set of MRR's after destroying the front end driver side Knuckle and OME nitrocharger in wheeling last weekend. Still really confused out the springs

Right now I have the 2" OME Kit 887s coils with the L59-111-R. I have a leer canopy with a FSR tent and have pretty gnarly rake which I want to eliminate with this lift.

I seem to understand that the 314's and adjusting the preload will get me the desired lift at the front to level the truck out?

    Any advice is appreciated.

Hey bud. Sounds like you'll need to share photos of the carnage from last weekend!!

You can run those same 2887 springs on the MRA59-A220 if you want, and raise it up to reduce the rake. Or yeah, use the C59-314. Do you have any constant front end weight? Bumper, winch, 2nd battery, etc?

I watched that last week. As long as you can relieve the tension, it works. That stud normally does spin though so you have to use an Allen to hold the shaft

Yes you can, it's tight but can be done. I did it this way to change my 314 springs to 352's on my MRA's.

Got my Dobi lift fully installed. Just have to install my steel front bumper this weekend and I have an appointment for an alignment on Monday.

    @Crikeymike

    I’ve got an interesting scenario…

I adjusted my MRA coil seat height today. I raised the ride height on the front driver by ~1.25” after raising the seat height by ~0.6”. I then went to measure my passenger side and the hub to fender and ground to fender have the same numbers as the driver side! I measured the seat height to bottom of the threads on both sides and they are 0.6” difference. I am utterly confused.

Sounds like you had a lot of lean that needed correcting and now it's balanced

I have the Dobinsons C59-302 coils on GS59-221 struts and a 1/4" spacer on the drivers side.
The truck is still sitting 1/2" low on the drivers side, my hub to fender measurement is 22" passenger side 21.5" drivers.

The only extra weight the drivers side has maybe 50 extra lbs vs the passenger side because of my how my roof rack is loaded.

Is there something I missed or just doomed to have a leaning taco until I upgrade the suspension again in a few years?

Check how far off the rear end is too. It could be causing your front lean.

You've technically got a 1" lean, since you've corrected it by 1/2" already. That's a lot, so I'd check the rear and see if that needs to be shimmed up too.

You can also swap the front strut assemblies left to right just in case the passenger side coil is fractionally taller, then keep the spacer on the driver's side.

The rear suspension is almost even on both sides.
When I installed the front shocks I checked to make sure both were at the same height (at least pretty close, I only eyeballed them next to each other) and I checked the stickers on the coils to make sure both were the 302s.

Could the sway bar be pulling the suspension down? Or not to say you did anything wrong but could the assembly be messed up when you put the shocks together?

This weekend I will swap sides to see if that fixes it.

A sway bar can hold up a side. Disconnect it and you'll find out real fast.

The struts are both the same when extended, as the strut length sets the unloaded height, but the coils themselves can have variance, which wouldn't be noticed until they're in the truck and loaded down.

No, we assemble 1000's of struts a year, so I highly doubt they're wrong and it wouldn't cause a 1" lean. That's a Tacoma problem 105% of the time

I definitely wasn't trying to blame you at all, just to be clear, I just wanted to make sure.

I removed the sway bar and got a 1/4" more height on the drivers side.
So now I'm at 22" passenger and 21.75" driver.

I will flip the shocks around and see if it's just maybe a slight difference in the springs.

Driving around the block I get a little more body roll but not much, I might just leave the sway bar off for now.

Swapped the struts and it's just slightly higher on the drivers side now.

So it must have been a slightly smaller spring on one side.

Now I have to decide if I want to leave the sway bar off.

I really appreciate the quick response and help from Crikeymike, any future suspension upgrades I will be going to you.

    Ok, cool. Easy fix then.

I know many guys do keep the sway bar off to keep a softer ride, but it's really up to you.
