Getting tired of ordering house margaritas at places and getting nothing but sugar water so I bought some of these to add next time I go out.

Lots of changes in the last few months. Sold my Cummins for more money then any sane person would spend on a truck. 5.9 6 speeds are crazy rare, mine was 1 of 31 built like that in 07. Had zero issues, pulled like a train and I had it built the way I wanted. Kid paid me cash and I couldn’t resist the offer.


Sooo this left me truck shopping. Payed cash for 23 F150 stx 2.7 with the money from the Cummins. Wow has ford stepped in quality and truck power. This thing flies. Just under 1800 lbs of payload is awesome for 2 kiddos on hunting and fishing trips.

Had it about it a month. Leveled it, tinted everything of course. Line x the bed and tonneau cover, clazzios leather. Still cheaper than my pro I had and interior is much nicer. 26-27 mpg driving back and forth to the prison going 55-60mph.

Still got the t4r but man, I’m sold on these new F150. 7 year 100k warranty on it, hopefully I won’t need it. Still lurk on here from time to time so figured I would check in.

 

Well… How much did you get for the dodge!? 07 6-speed is probably the best truck they made.

 

45k. I had 105 miles on it. I was the second owner. Tuned, head studs, yada yada. I dynoed it last winter and it made 578 hp and 1207 ft lb of torque. Was an absolute rocket ship but cab was too small for 2 kiddos. Hands down the best diesel I’ve owned and I’ve had a pile of them but the F150 is more practical for daily driving.

I’m gunna look for a single cab to restore and either build a 12 valve or do a common rail swap for a project truck.

 

That’s nuts! Good to know the cab is too small for 2 kids. My crew cab Chevy has plenty of room for the little ones.

 

If it would have been a mega cab I prolly would have kept it. Those years 4 door crew cabs and tiny! If you look at pictures the back doors are like half size doors.

I had tons of fun with that truck but with how much they are brining used I knew it was time to part ways. I paid 20k for the truck. New F150 was alittle over 47 out the door. I actually took advantage of ford zero percent financing. Rolled the proceeds into a usaa 9 month cd at 4.75 percent. Figured I can make some extra quick cash and write a check whenever I want to pay the f150 off. It all worked out in the end. I’m happy, kiddos are happy, and the wife is happy. She wasn’t a fan of the 5 inch straight pipe from the turbo haha.

 

I wanna know what that kid does for work to have 45k cash on hand

 

He owns a trash company outside of wake forest. 27-28 yrs old. Seems to have his shit together haha. I figured he would low ball me or not show up, but he showed up same day with all the cash.

 

Man that was a cool truck but good lord I can’t imagine paying that much for an 07. You scored good making that deal

 

For sure. I had a smidge over 24 grand into the truck with purchase price and mods. Hands down the most I’ve made driving a vehicle haha.
