On call blows. The gf does that , and it didn’t take long to be sick of loading equipment at 3 am in the snow to be over it. She’s moving to a salaried position soon.

Damn. Out to look at a house that’s been on the market less than a day and they’ve already accepted an offer.

I should just buy some land and build a treehouse.

Depends on where you’re at I think. KC was never as insane as some of the other markets.

You should do what I did. *Buys house in 2016*

Jokes aside, I dread having to buy another home. So much money and work, and that's saying something because it felt that way before. Can't imagine the stress of it all again. We went from "let's shop around again in a few years when we get on our feet" to "well, I sure do love this house, can't afford to leave it, think we can fit a ramp for or wheelchairs when we get old?"

Getting a single story home was just planning ahead I see haha. I'll just stop using the upper levels

I had a house… in west Texas…which I sold in 2018. I miss it now, even if the commute would have been hell.

Im just kind of done with renting. All of the cost, none of the control.

My previous home was ada certified. If I ever build I will build one. Wide doors, no steps, it was awesome. I'm surprised that it isn't a more common thing. I miss those French doors and patio too.
It goes both ways. I need a fence and it ain't cheap.

I did like the layout of that house. Pretty cool having no transition between rooms and the outside spaces. I'm pretty sure with my house the Ada hadn't even formed yet

watched A Man Called Otto last night, that was a really good movie that goes from comedy gold to completely dark drama back and forth for 2 hours. I did not expect it to give me as many feels as it did

do not recommend watching with a 5 month preggo, many tears were had

She is really excited, talks a lot about how she is going to help out. But when my sister comes over with her 2 month old, Sofia gets crazy jealous when we hold him. So that will be fun to deal with lol

I don't think anyone expects a toddler to uphold any of those promises haha. Fun times ahead for you I'm sure

She'll be close to 4 years old when he's born, just a few months shy. Hoping that ~4 year spread between them will be a good balance, it was for my brother and I. Enough of a difference that their interests won't really conflict as much

My sister and I are 2 years apart and we fought wayyyyy more growing up than my brother and I did.
