My dog sees me grab the fly swatter and she jumps up to try and eat them. No idea why I never thought about using the stick vacuum.. Works like a charm

 

I use the stick vac on the slow ones. They get lethargic when they're cold.

At operating temperature, they're too quick for the vac. A shoe works better.

ooooof that's not a very fun one. Think it just needs to be recaulked or is it more severe?

 

I feel pretty bad for my new neighbor. Two levels of his brand new retaining wall collapsed with all the rain.

 

More severe because am not sure I found the cause. The flashing still looks good. I sealed a gap where some water could accumulate, caulked, and painted.

The upcoming afternoon rain should test it out.

Lawn is mowed, weeds are pulled. Now its time for a beer with my miller moth friends … and the dog.

Looking for recommendations for shock rebuild in the Colorado Springs area

 

Captured a dozen Miller moths in the house last night and set them free outside.
Today my wife texted me this, which made me laugh:

Spring along the Front Range means "Miller Time." For many of us, the Miller Moths are a nuisance, but for our environment they play an important role, such as:

5. Pollinators for crops and other plants.
These "pests" will be out of of here soon and you will reap the benefits of their migration through our state.
