If you can afford a Ma Deuce you’re not worried about ammo prices…

There’s more too it. This isn’t a scenario for
amateurs, YouTube watchers, diy’ers, or even someone that when to class once.

As was said; you’re looking for a T box shot.
It creates what’s called flaccid paralysis. That said, typically when it’s a hostage rescue call in this type of scenario you need to know what’s going on. A person holding a knife on a person is looking for a way out of something. If killing was the intention, then the hostage would be dead in 95% if most cases. If negotiations fail, regardless of it being a barricaded scenario in the states, or 5 ft away in a mud hut, your mother left will the really one option. So, there’s your operation risk management.

Each situation is a littler different. Unfortunately, I had several encounters with VBIED’s being driven into patrols. This is even tricker because it’s a moving vehicle, wired detonator, and the glass deflects the bullet up. Not to mention how small that T box is when talking about a blast minimal safe distance.
    It was trial by fire.

What’s the best outdoor handgun target setup?

so far the best I know of is as follows
    -eBay hanger
    -steel
    -T post
    -T post driver tool

you can bring the driver with you but likely keep it stored otherwise when not in use because it’s big and bulky.
hopefully whatever ground you find has enough give to drive a temporary fence post into.

because the common alternatives of cans is not fun.
    1. You place them on rocks which risks ricochet
    2. Expensive, bulky, becomes trash to collect and throw out
    3. They go flying everywhere and need walking back and forth a bunch of times

I have built wooden stands from scrap Home Depot wood and would not do it again. No satisfying feedback of steel, have to staple paper on and walk up to see your grouping, and are big/bulky/heavy + splinters

Have to carry 5 t-posts but but don't have to drive any into the ground:

I've been pretty happy with it.

wow that looks nice. Same price or cheaper but multiple targets and no trying to dig into the ground

and I don’t think 5 posts will take up that much space. Can bungee them together

did you fill it with 3 plates? What sizes?

I have a silhouette, 6" gong, & 8" gong. For the silhouette I put the carriage bolts through the holes, put a ~1.5" spacer on, then the chain and the nut. This angles the target towards the ground so you don't get any fragments coming back at you. I don't worry about that too much with the small gongs because they deflect a decent amount when they're hit.

Legs are 6 ft posts but I got an 8 footer for my horizontal so I have room for more targets when I decide to spend the money.

The interesting part will be the clarification on who’s covered. FPC is listed as a plaintiff and in past cases members of the plaintiff organization at the time of either the injunction or the case filing (depending on the case) were covered by the injunction.

Would be bad ass if FPC members were included. But either way it sets a good precedent for all the pending litigation.
