My Diode Dynamics SS3 fogs finally arrived yesterday. Popped em on last night - man what an upgrade.
Its weird suddenly being able to see like 100 yards to the left and right of the road/trail (exaggeration prob like 50 yards, idk...)

Yeah, just the 2 10mm bolts per side and pull the fender liner back. Took maybe 30 mins

Did my 3rd gen from the top without removing the grille. Is this an option for swapping fogs on 2nd gens.

Not that I'm aware, just gotta bend back the fender liner and remove the 2 screws on each fog side.
Turn your wheel to the outside of whatever side you're working on, plenty of space. Did it on my driveway no ramps etc.

I was impressed w the DD ones bc they're literal plug & play.
No wiring, no aiming. Im a lazy bastard, so they were right up my alley :taco:

I am content with the stock 2008 fogs however the lens have become very opaque. Had the BajaDesigns sport ambers in my 3rd gen and loved them. They were not DOT approved and would blind a blind man. Not planning to spend that $340 for my 2nd gen.

Haven't had any issues with it and it's loaded with features. The kit for Tacos came with everything needed to install using factory wires(adapters etc.) and is plug n play. The steering wheel controls all work just fine. It's a floating screen design so the sides are covered by an accordion style rubber filler thingy so you can't see any wires. You can find it on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Stinger-Replacement-2005-2011-Navigation-STH10TACOM/dp/B08NK8JNBR

Finished mounting and wiring my Flatbed project. Will weigh it in a week or two to see how much capacity I lost on the GVWR and load calculations from the weight of the new flatbed.

Don't you think a light bar on all the time may be a bad idea for oncoming traffic?

    Weatherstrip replacement

I gather from the looks of it when the clips are removed the little tabs that hold it in are just bent down effectively breaking the clip?
Seem like the only way to remove them which is just fine with me since you mention the new weatherstrip comes with new clips anyway. Just looks like they are designed as single use.

I don't have a tool that exactly looks like that but a whole pile of similar tools I picked up to work on just about all retaining devices

Just installed some third gen Off-Road struts and rear shocks!

Also picked up a set of third gen off-road rims that I'm going to hopefully get installed next week!
