Haha well I won't refuse not spending money on fuel to head down there. That would be awesome to see your truck in more detail and get a ride in it too. Gotta practice my launches now in preparation.

Kaley borrows her brother's Tesla from time to time for a few weeks because he can't take it to Fort McMurray without getting laughed offsite. The pink license plate frame doesn't help much either.

 

BTW the tesla is pretty fast. Not fast enough to make me want one, though. At least not the Model 3, I hear the Ludicrous model doesn't leave much to be desired.

Not yet. I bought them but hadn't even picked them up as I'm still waiting on the u-Bolts. I want to measure the thickness of the leafs because I left some excess thread on the archive u bolts so they will possibly work with the thicker Icon leafs. Then I'll just swap out for new ones when they arrive.

Hoping for a couple days off this week and I'll fire them on.

$1,023 2.0 IFP Fox 2.0 Performance Coil-Over Front Pair compatible with 2005-2016 Toyota Tacoma

2.0 IFP front struts and rear shocks install with front Wheelers Superbumps and Icon RXT rear leafs. Fronts went better than I expected and for some strange reason I thought the rears would be easier than they ended up being but all-in-all it wasn't too bad a job. Just torquing rear suspension bits sucks because of the awkward workspace for 80-90 ft/lbs of torque where you are sometimes lucky to get a 1/8 turn of a ratchet. Dual exhaust is partly to blame. I had to cut the top of the stock rear shocks off too get them out - too small a nut with no proper was to use a backup wrench and perma-rusted-together meant they had to die.

Approx two inch lift all around. Measured but haven't compared before/after numbers yet.

Funny moment was me putting the rear tires on and lowering the jack completely and thinking "Holy fuck these leafs are going to need to settle a LOT!", then realizing the frame was still in the jack stands Hahaha. It'll be nice when they settle a little.

Too early to tell yet but feels more active for sure.

My exhaust note also seems to have changed a bit from the increased ground clearance as well.

 

Mishimoto dual core radiator and HPS silicone rad hoses installed along with two auxiliary pusher efans mounted to the intercooler. Radiator came with two gasket strips that went against the shroud for a good seal.



Lots of side quests finding better quality efan mounting zip tie thingies. Modified one horn mounting bracket to make room for the drivers side efan. Also, had to order new clutch fan nuts after losing two of the four. Additionally, HPS sent shit hardware as only one of the four hose clamps was the correct size. Fancy hoses and meh hose clamps. Tried using the stock constant pressure clamps but couldn't get them to squeeze enough to fit.

Further pics to come as I'm still finalizing things, working on wiring and adding Bullet Proof Fabrication cooling panel and possibly remote mounting my accusump pressure gauge.

I like those aux cooling fans for the heat exchanger. Do you have a way to monitor pre and post sc IATs? It’d be cool to see how much those help

 

No way whatsoever Hahaha. Still trying to figure out what I want to do to drive them. Hard to find a good controller as a lot of them seem like half assed junk. Don't have any non stock temp sensors either.

Auto cool guy has a smaller amp unit that might work pretty awesome but I'm not sure where I'd mount it.

 

Nice work yet again! I ended up using T-bolt clamps on my rad wherever a clamp was needed. A couple of them I couldn't get to seal with just the worm gear clamps.

 

Yeah, I'm not a fan of them. Ordering some better ones to put on later but surprisingly impossible to find them in stock anywhere in Cowtown on short notice.

Worm gear clamps are ok for intake stuff but still looks like shit you'd put on a garden hose.

 

Remote mounted my Accusump pressure gauge to a place where it will be possible to see when the BPF cooling panel is installed.

Had to run to princess auto for more electrical wire and wire loom as my supplies ran short right when I needed them. Think I'm just going to run both fans off a single switch for cooler AC/hot weather as these are just auxiliary fans and I'm not seeing an extreme need for a control scheme like the Texas or Cali boys might require.
