    SS3 max w backlight is slightly higher output than without, as far as the fog pattern. Not massive but slight. Enough to justify the expense even if ignoring the backlight.

    Yes

    comes out more expensive by a lot so given your prior decisions the DD backlight harness and an eBay $40 headlight harness seem like the best value.

    Halogen to OEM LED headlight conversion. Unless you already have one or plan to DIY. Unless your truck came with them and you’re simply replacing damaged ones?

    You may want to set up your profile so the rest of us know which truck you have.

    The DD backlight harness is TRD only.

    You don’t have an easy path to backlight with SR5. All my options are adds ons. Johnny has made an integrated SR before but won’t be able to build stuff for a while. I’ve stopped selling SR harnesses.

    I have the LED DRLs on my truck so Dave's harness would work for me and I would love to go LED on my headlights, I just can't bring myself to spend $1,600 on new ones then have to install them lol.

    SS3 for Tacoma is plug and play but backlight is not part of that. You’re left with a pigtail to supply your own juice.

    They are available on many models with certain packages. My 21 OR has them from the factory.
