installed a new third brake light to my camper shell. the original lasted 10 years. it leaked and all but one bulb remained. easy install spent more time removing the old wires and cleaning the recessed area of 3M tape and dirt.

It says 05 to 11. I have the OR that I bought brand new in 2011 it came with smocked lights which I have always been told only came on the sport.

I was thinking of not putting that light in there so it wouldn’t melt but that light you posted looks like a better option

Well I just ordered the led for it. You are correct I was refering to the melting from DRL's, if I'm correct they didn't start DRL/turn signals till 09. Mine are melted and cracked. Just trying to see if they will not melt.
Good luck with whatever you choose, it might take me awhile to report,I don't drive much right now due to back issues, and garage kept.
Price was $224.00 with shipping for both lights.

Sorry, I knew what you meant. Mine are melted and cracked too. I was confused at why it says 05 to 11. Not sure what determines which ones come with the DTRL.

So they used the same headlight part but 09-11 had DRL relay that can't be disabled or is too difficult to do, it's all to confusing to explain why they did what they did. We'll get by, I'm going to keep my 09 for the foreseeable future and rehabing lights, suspension, seats/covers on the fence on those for now and stereo system.

Used it to haul just eight 16 foot composite deck boards home - only about 20 miles (yes, I had the end flagged, I had already taken them off in this picture)

Take your time, double and triple check everything. Drink beer.

If you can, try and find somebody local that's done it before to give you a hand. Also, order a Extreme truck performance Intake Manifold Spacer to throw on at the same time.

Yes... my 07 has the dtrl's (were listed under optional equipment.) I think these smoked headlights came on the sport model from 2009-2011 but they'll fit both the sport and offroad from 2005-2011. Tried to get the part numbers that came out for the tsb for the dtrl melting issue but hard to find them... hoping these ones got updated to fix the problem.
Going to apply xpel headlight film... did it on my originals and they held up pretty good... never used any restoration products on them.

    the originals... after 16 years

The updated parts seems to be out of stock ao the old number is again the primary part number. Covered in CB80's Ultimate Headlight Upgrade thread

I’m not sure you can buy the TSB headlights. I had the TSB done in 2015 or 2016 for the melting DRL. Then in 2020 I had a front end collision on my driver side which required new a new headlamp and the guy at the body shop told me he ordered a new housing through toyota and they didn’t supply the one with the TSB corrected DRL. Here are some pics. The TSB corrected light has a glass cover that’s smooth and the non-TSB headlight that was replaced has the plastic cover with the square over middle. This was replaced in 2020 and the lens is already melting.

TSB headlamp with glass DRL cover:

Really like the hondo garage stuff, put the vent mount on. I had been using the “mother sucker” suction mount but took the “perfect squeeze” off that and used it with the vent mount. Cleans up the cabin.

Somewhere during 2021 this happened. When I ordered mine I got one side (the tsb version) and the other side was back ordered. 6 months later I got the other one in but it was the pre tsb version. :censored: So sent tsb version back and ended up with pre tsb version. My lenses had just started to melt after 10 years, so I bought a flasher module from Diode Dynamic along with the Toyota jumper to disable my drls.
