I have '16 Toyota Tacoma 4WD with a oversize tires and lift kit. My tires have been rubbing inside the wheel well. At my last service, they suggested that I get wheel spacers and it will stop the rubbing inside the wheel well. Any suggestions on wheel spacers as this is new to me? Thanks

More info needed. What size tire?, what wheels? Also if aftermarket wheels, need specs.

Apologize for not providing more info. Bought the truck a couple years ago but all the aftermarket stuff done to the truck (Oversize tires/lift kit/etc.) was done before I bought the truck, so I had to find that info. Currently I have A/T Sport LT305/55R20 tires, where normal size tires would be P265/65R17. I believe the lift kit was about 2". The wheels only seem to rub when if I do any sharp turns.

Stick with known brands. No ebay spacers.

My suggestion is Spidertrax and follow the install directions precisely. Retorque them when you rotate tires.

There are 2 brands of wheel spacers that are roadworthy, spider trax and Bora, don’t go with anything else. The ones on Amazon get great reviews because they are cheap, not because they are good.

Personally, your tires sound wrong for the truck and are really only there for aesthetics, but not performance.

I would consider a more appropriate wheel tire combo before messing with spacers IMHO

Also, since you are new to wheen spacers:

Never ever ever ever never ever ever never ever ever stack more than one spacer.

Spacers you want will be Hub-centric and will have a recess to fit snugly against the lip on the bud, and have a machined lip for the wheel to fit snugly against for centering.

To a degree, you will get what you pay for. Tight tolerances will be beneficial. Your spacer set should come with new lugs that will be used to install the spacer onto your hub. You will reuse your current lugs to install the wheel onto the spacer.

Use locktite as specified in the install instructions.

Brush / clean the hub prior to installation.

Its not rocket surgery, but improper installation can (and will) cause issues.

    https://www.spidertrax.com/Toyota-Hub-Centric-Spacer?sc=2&category=9982

These are a set of two, so you will need to order two sets to cover 4 hubs.

    Whatever the install instructions say.

You also should figure out exactly where you are rubbing and remedy the actual problem. Spacers may make it worse.

Need to find out the wheels offset. Too negative with a 1"+ spacer on 12" wide tires, you're likely to rub bad.
