Slow is a nice pace for life.
In fact, having been on several camping trips with the Wisconsin Tacomas group has rekindled my love for camping. I was so heavily in to sailboat racing for a couple decades that there was no time for the relation that camping and exploring brings to life.
As soon as I’m unpacked from the last trip, I’m already looking forward to the next one!
I’ve found YouTube has camping videos that both help pass the time between trips and also teach me new things and display new and improved gear that of course I’ll have to buy…

Oh, I remember shit...all sorts of useless shit!

 

Same. I remember phone numbers I haven't used in 25 years. And, pretty much every stupid or embarrassing thing I've ever said or done (which is a lot). But, I'll set down a tool and 10 seconds later I have no fucking clue where it is.

 

Don Woldford knocked over my blocks in kindergarten 1962, I bought 4 tape measures this year 2 downstairs 2 for garage where they are ? but i usually find all in the same place , but the 2 from 1985 i can find all the time even when i need them

 

If you guys are anything like me you own ten pairs of reading glasses and at any given time maybe can find two pairs ?

 

Tape measures and utility knives are strategically place though out the house, garage and shed. I keep one of each in areas where they are mostly used.

Little bit of stuckage in the back 40 today. Good day when you get to use the winch says me. Not so much the wife... Still a bit soppy out there.

 

Locker engaged, 4 lo, KM3's and she sank like the Titanic...

 

I showed the pictures to my wife.
She laughed.

 

I like 4Hi for more tire speed. I got in some sloppy mud in Lena in 2021 and the only way to keep moving was heavy throttle and throwing mud all over the place. That was a fun day!

OTOH, if your axles are buried, you're pretty much screwed no matter what.
