Went to Pepboys, they said they knew no one. Same at Redstone auto skills. Funny when you set out to accomplish something, unforeseen events prevent progress. Figure getting a shop to do it will cost at least half the press. These are spares to change out and planning to pull the other pair and refurbish them too but Whiteline bushings are $170 which is $50 less than new lca's. The other side of it is if the quality of the bushings is better than OEM.

 

Looked up some machine shops to call Monday.

 

Reason I said discount tire is because their a vendor on here and that's where I bought my rims from.

 

Does anyone offer new LCA's with the whiteline bushings already installed? I know nothing about LCA's

 

Avoided them for now. Spotty rep.

 

Gotcha. I have only seen folks on fb talk about them. I've never looked into them myself.

How far are you from Valley Head and how long would you need the press? I’ve got a Harbor Freight press and I’m going up to Valley Head next Saturday morning headed up highway 431 most of the way.
I can drop it off for a few hours if your not too far.

Where you leaving from (pm if you want). I'm a couple of miles east of 431 off Huntsville. Might be out of way. Have you used it to replace bushings?

 

Do those have the whitline things?

Bret, where are leaving from because it might be faster coming up I 59. Valley head is about 45 minutes from me depending on which way I go.

 

Coming from Auburn. I might go up 280 and cut across through Sylacauga. I make better time on 280.

 

No they are a direct OEM replacement. I replaced mine with those and worked great before I went long travel

 

Gotcha. I'm not looking to replace mine, was just curious since John was talking about trying to find someone to press his in. I just didn't know if anyone sold OEM LCA's with the whitelines already installed.......since I don't really do that kind of work on vehicles

 

You sound like my brother. He won't even change the oil on his truck although I know most of us here can get that done. I got stuck with the job after I put on new tires at Pepboys (me getting lazy like the brother) and they wouldnt allign as they said upper control arms needed bushings replaced. So here I am needing to get that done before I could meet with ECGS to get my elockers to work. Was going to drive to North Carolina last week but Pepboys wouldn't fit a slow leak in tire (less than 1/4 inch tread (DOT BS, all service centers follow the same crap) so had to change tires. Clown World!!!

 

I can do basic maintenance, that's about it. I don't mind getting my hands dirty if someone is there to make sure I do it right

 

280 then I think 459 then to 59 would be the way I go. Then you can stay on 59 almost all the way to Valley head. Make sure you head North towards Gadsden .
