Read a bunch of posts, but still don't have clear answers. Got all the stuff ready to lift my '22 TRD OR, but im still trying to figure if i should get aftermarket uca, or if i will be good with the driving experience i will get with an alignment on the stock uca?

I know with after market uca, people are getting anywhere from 3-5° of caster with camber and toe in spec. From what i understand the extra camber is to help improve drivability and steering feel? What alignment numbers should i expect as gar as caster, camber and toe with a 2" lift and stock uca? Will the alignment results you get with a stock uca be a substantial difference in the driving experience over using a aftermarket uca?

My set up will be, eibach protruck 2.0 coilover, 2r reservoir rear shock, 1.5 AAL. Coilovers give max 2.5" lift i believe, so i will probably run them around 2-2 1/4" of lift in the front.

I'm no expert, but from what I've read 2" or less usually doesn't require uca's. One of the most popular examples I've seen is the Bilstein 6112/5160 combo with around 2" of lift. Many running that setup end up getting JBA high castor uca's.

The negative offset wheels generally require some extra trimming/heat gun massaging and removing front mud flaps.

Aftermarket uca's with higher castor capabilities would help minimize that and pull the wheels forward away from the cab mount. I think you'd be maxing out your alignment specs with stock uca's and the negative offset wheels and you'd benefit from aftermarket uca's.

Accutune explains alignments and aftermarket uca's better than I can. They also provide some general alignment specs for lifted Tacoma's...

I have about 2-2.25 inches of lift with stock UCAs and I am running close to identical wheels (17” Ray10’s) but with 265 Wildpeaks. Local alignment shop was able to get everything within specs but like @MGMDesertTaco said, with that kind of offset and 285’s, aftermarket UCAs might be beneficial to minimize the trimming and possibly avoid a CMC. You still might need it though and you won’t know until they are on.

I thought higher caster numbers actually push the wheel back and closer to the cab mount?
