Buddy Guy live will do that to you!
He was a regular at the New Orleans jazz fest every year. Dude is amazing. Always walks through the crowd jamming, no bodyguards.

 

Yes, he did that on Saturday as well, but a couple local Security and Police Officers were walking behind him. I can only hope I live to be 86.... and can still walk.

LOL No argument from me.

However, once, back in the early 90's if I recall correctly, my wife and I were at a Scorpions concert in Sacramento, CA and part way through the show, a big commotion started up behind us. We turned around to see a naked woman getting her grove on, a few rows behind us, on the walk-way around the arena. Naturally, Security was all over it and they escorted her out.....

 

I’m more in awe of how much money people spend to see her concerts. They sell out instantly and apparently scalping is legal today if you sell them through a ticket service.

Agreed, it is staggering how much people pay for some shows. The most I have ever paid for any concert were these Buddy Guy tickets, and I bought the cancelation insurance with them just in case...... even so, 6th row center, the pair was only $170 total. I have even turned down going to see other favorite artists when the tickets were in the $100/each range. Of course if it someone I had never seen. like Buddy Guy, I might pay a little more. But damn sure not much more than $100 each.

Not only that, but the cops let everybody sleep it off.
Some people were fast asleep in the stadium, others on the grass outside, some made it to their cars.
That's how hands-off the police presence was.


I hung with my friends in the stadium for a couple hours after the show was over, figuring I'd let the traffic clear out.
I drove us home, having having had the benefit of my nap earlier
