    Good Monday morning crew.
I farted around with my 17-18 yr old riding mower yesterday. It's malfunctioning and I suspect the center spindle bearing bad and locking up. I suspect the center spindle (3 blade) because looks like got hot enough to let grease out. Easy enough fix but it has many hours on it and 26 hp Kohler starting to leak a tiny bit.
I went and bought a replacement belt before noticed that center spindle...whilst at the TSC I test rode a new Bad Boy Zero Turn.
Worker there said they have 0% financing for 48 months.
    How about some tax though?

Picked up new pistol last Friday. I like it. Cheap
$229.00 plus...yep, more tax and $20 transfer fee.
My daughter had text me a picture of a Glock that couple of coworkers have. Absolutely nothing wrong with them but I've never been a huge fan. Not a fan of Glock Leg either
Anyways I wanted for my daughter to give this a try

I wondered about that but not sure of the dangers.
I don't believe my card information is on there. Is it just not a good idea? Identity theft?

Seems like I always have a list of things to repair when I get back from 5 weeks away.
Gate opener reprogram and trim bushes that it opens up into...it's working now.
Riding mower :facepalm:17 yrs use figure got my $$ worth out of it. I need to ask @RustyGreen his thoughts on diagnosis/ repair.
I have a eye Dr. Appt today in Lincoln and going to pick up a new water heater for the house, current unit looks damp around the bottom of it and it's almost 15 yrs old.

Look at that smile! Mow your lawn once with a ZT and you will never want to use a tractor to mow again. :bikewhoops:

Get the deck up on saw horses, usually the problems are pretty obvious when you start spinning things by hand.

The spindles usually come apart by removing the top pulley, sometimes there is a snap ring too.

Don't try to remove the aluminum spindle housings unless you are planning to replace them, the bolts are usually so corroded in the aluminum that something breaks.

The bearings will be standard part numbers you can get at any industrial supply, McMaster - Carr, NAPA or AMZ.

If it is an MTD built unit replacement spindle & housing units aren't all that expensive.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't remove the secondary belt to check bearings. It was emitting a rattle sound and occasional bog down with mower engaged. I never thought to replace bearings in the housings. Didn't know serviceable part. It's a craftsman DYT4000
and I'm pretty sure 90% of this type of mower all built by Electrolux o_O
I see prices vary greatly on Amazon for replacement spindles. Be great if I can just get replacement bearings and install. Would like to make it functional again and pass it on to my son. He's starting own business and I think will include lawn or lot mowing too. Anything to put food on the table.
    Thanks Rusty.
We have all day rain forecast here:rain:
I hope the Menards can wrap that water heater with plastic wrap stuff. Otherwise dealing with a soggy box and who knows what to electric water heater.
