Have any of you been watching Dakar? Peacock has good coverage this year and some amazing footage. There was a bike crash the other day where a guy high sided at probably 50 mph and the commentator referred to it as just a small or minor crash or something.

 

The 450 main was one of the most exciting races I’ve seen in awhile.

I don't know how many of you are old enough to have ridden and raced these 500 2 strokes, but this is a great video to watch. These bike were like a light switch, on or off. I grew up in So Cal racing Carlsbad and practicing in these dusty and dry riding conditions. Brings back good pre 4 stroke memories.

Are we going to have any riders? Which of the injured will be back for MX?

 

Ferrandis, Justin Cooper (on 250s) are back. Hopefully Barcia is back soon. Neither of the Husky guys yet. No Webb, KR isn't doing Outdoors anyways, so his knee is non-issue. No Anderson yet, I don't think. Obviously no Eli. So probably gonna be Chase, Jett, DF and AC as the front-runners for 450s. And once Barcia is back, I think he will be up there too, and maybe AP here and there.

250s are still pretty loaded. Should be a great series in 250s. Unsure what the timeline is on some of those PC Kawi guys, but hopefully get some of them back. Romano is still out for Star. Obviously Thrasher is still going to be out. Not sure about Robertson but I don't think he's back. Farres will be back on Star for Outdoors too, which he could be up front here and there mixing it up.

 

Any idea when Stewart is supposed to come back?

 

Stew doesn't race outdoors, so 2024 Supercross

 

His is under contract for both but he seems to always find a way to not race the Outdoors. So I honestly have no idea lol.

 

He raced the last 4 in the 2022 season....

Before that - 2014

 

Not saying he fakes injuries but he conveniently finds a way to not do Outdoors. He just gave an update over the weekend and certainly didn't make it sound like he was going to back back any time soon. It is what it is.
