    I think you'd be surprised how many people on this site that flex their new $2000+ mods on their $40k trucks still owe tens of thousands on their truck via an auto loan. Just because somebody has a brand new truck doesn't mean that they are wealthy and/or financially responsible :rofl:

    Transparency:
    I am 22yo, bought my 2020 TRD off-road for 39k last year. After $22k trade in, I financed $17k on a 5-year loan (4.3% APR). I'm ahead on payments but I still owe ~$13k.

    How’s everyone’s week going? I’m looking forward to some nice weather this weekend and hopefully selling my camper shell. It’s tough getting the fishing gear in there with the Decked system…

    Also for the pricing discussion… bought my 2017 from a private seller in 2020 for 27K. Put 10K down and financed 17K. Still owe about 6k which I will finish paying off next September, if not sooner.

    Mines going great, I just got back from an end of the semester and year and a half anniversary cabin trip with my GF. I'm picking up a FREE, yes free, air hockey table later today. My mom is an American airlines pilot, and the pilot she was flying with the other day wants it out of his house as he never uses it, so we get it!

    Gets over double the mpg of the truck (30-32mpg compared to 15) and gas is less than a dollar more for it, so it's definitely a big savings.

    Yeah I'm mostly getting one as I have a vinyl cover right now that is cracking a bit and I transport landscaping stuff like my blower and trimmer so I need secure storage. I'm getting the Bak Revolver X4s. Maybe one day I'll find a matching cap but in the meantime I'll have the tonneau cover

    Speaking of caps, I was able to sell mine. I’m already loving the ability to load and unload stuff in the bed without having to maneuver my head under the window and crawling underneath the shell. We will see if the good vibes last.

    I'm about to take some if my AFROTC buddies offroading for their first time. One has a '99 Chevy Z71 in mint condition and the other has a '06 4runner 4wd. We'll see how it goes.
