That was short lived. Selling the dirtbike/ trying to. I can get much more seat time from a mountain bike since I can ride that solo. Also less $ for maintenance. It’s alright just very different in the idea you have to move your feet around a bit and I can’t mentally get past that from the mountain biking. 01 yz250 5 hours on the motor, new pads rotors tires. Suspension rebuilt. Fork swapped to 48mm. 3200 bucks for TW peeps. It really is a damn clean bike.

    worth the experience 100%
Just think sticking with mtb only is better off for me

You guys noticing skeeters everywhere? We were way out past Fernley off gas line road, back probably 5 miles, and got swarmed by mosquitos. Never seen anything like it out here in the desert where there's no standing water.

I need to replace my battery. Anyone have opinions on a good group 31? The last two I got from Sears and they both seemed to die quicker than expected :(

Batteries Plus X2 AGM. They’re a bit pricey but you can’t beat the warranty and quality. I’ve had mine for 4-5 years and run my fridge off it and never any issues.

2nd vote for the Batteries Plus X2 AGM. I'm running the X2 in a group 27. They have a 5 year warranty.

we've had the X2 AGMs in my wifes Tacoma, they're the blue top ones that are starting/deep cycle combo and they've been fantastic. At times the truck has sat for 6 months and still started right up. They're going on 5 years now and still going strong

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
I got the Northstar (same battery, I'm told, anyway) 27F AGM and it lasted...3 years? No extreme duty either - it just stopped holding a charge. Eventually Northstar warranted it (sent a refund of the purchase price) and I tried again with the Batteries Plus version. It's about a year in, so we'll see how it does.

For those that were running the AGM's, did you do the voltage booster as well? @crashnburn80 did a pretty good writeup of it here...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-northstar-agm-battery-voltage-booster-upgrade.604478/

Been looking at doing this recently too.

Did you go with the fixed .5 or adjustable?

I finally got bigger tires 2020 Long Travel Tacoma 1997 MAGNUM
Just installed some front coilovers. Super easy install. Took me 1hr and 40 minutes to do both sides including tires.
Next is rear hydro bumps, UCA, bumper and gussets!

I went with the fixed. I should have ordered a pack of 10 to resell and consolidate the shipping from AUS.

I can adjust the output of your alternator to support deep cycle batteries. It’s one of our tailored tune options. Even if you don’t want to tune your truck, I can just change the table for voltage output. Going by memory, the change will put it between 14.2 and 14.7 I’ll double check and update if it’s different.

As soon as the Wife's Tacoma is all buttoned up I'll definitely be reaching out about a full tune on it
