    HI,
I have a 2018 tacoma, my question is, should the dash lights be on when the driving lights are on, switch is in DRL? When I put my fog lights on headlights on, the dash lights come on, is this normal, or should I have dash lights when any of the running or headlights are on, this may have been that way but I just wanted to make sure since i recently switched out my low and high beam headlights to LED, I just purchased the truck about 3 weeks ago and really did not notice since I have not driven the truck all that much yet? Thank you for any help.

Normal. Daytime running lights are for….daytime. Don’t need dash lights during the day as we do not have a dash that needs illumination in the daytime like many modern cars now do.

I have to keep my running lights on just to be able to see my cluster. who thought dark gray numbers on a black cluster was a good idea.

Well I am youngish, so I guess that helps….no issues seeing my dash that I can recall. I did prefer my frontier’s white face gauges with black numbering though.
