I was just detailing my truck and barely noticed this device under the carpet liner behind the brake and gas pedal. Anyone know what this is? Maybe part of the remote start for the toyota app? Model: 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 DCLB V6 A/T

That's what my cell module looks like for my N2 Designs remote start.

 

Same here, the gps module that allows for remote start by the app.

LoJack, or the equal. More often used to locate your vehicle for repo when you havent paid. My dealer installed one too and I pulled it out. I like the idea of locating my truck if stolen, but the apps they provide clearly show they are tied to the dealer you bought it from and that cant be changed.

How can an item that supposedly I own and control not be updated by me???

Its only pulling power. So I dont think its talking to the OBD, just monitoring voltage maybe as feature in the tracking app to make it look more useful.
