What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The lights have me H1 LED inserts!

 

Pulled the wheels and tires and scrubbed em, ceramic coated the wheels and dressed the tires.

97 not triple locked from factory but she will be before too long.

 

After having a blank screen for a couple of years did the temp/compass display fix. Underwhelming results but it is finally done. Please don't judge my fat finger solder job.

Got the time to re-clear my headlight lenses and picked up this shell second hand. Debating on wrapping it white or leaving it MGM for a bit.

 

i think it looks good MGM. run it until you get tired of it.

I am old school so I remember when people had unpainted aluminum shells. I think those colors look good together. MGM sort of fits the blackout trend. If you had a black soft-topper you wouldn't paint it. I say save the paint money, and the prep labor, and put those towards something else.

 

You're not wrong. I have been running a softopper for the last 8 or so years. I only snagged this shell because I got it for $400 locally. I don't mind the MGM/dark look on it as it really isn't much of a change from the softopper, I was just thinking color-matching it may change the look up a bit. I wouldn't paint, I would do a semi shitty wrap job in my driveway lol.

Finished up my 12-15 front clip swap with a seibon TR style carbon fiber hood and 2015 TRD pro oem headlights. Aerocatch hood pins on order

Thank you, and yes it is bolt on. The holes for the sprayer nozzles need to be enlarged a little bit, but other than that and the hood pins, it bolts right up and fits great

 

I got a set of OE headlights. Need to find a paint matched grille and hood, then decide if I want a stock bumper or aftermarket. Just keeping my eyes open for the right parts.
