    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!!

We cleaned out the apiary last Friday - downsized to something more manageable for us. The 3 colonies we had remaining didn't make it through the winter so we decided to start 2 fresh ones. They came in the mil yesterday - freaked the Post Office folks out a bit since the boxes are vented plastic and you can see/hear th bees. We put them in their new homes yesterday morning - and also have some extra boxes available for either splits or swarms.

Good morning. Not much planned for today. Going to cook chicken thighs a new, to me, way. Pick up the wife at the airport. Flight is supposed to get in at 3:30, we shall see.

    Good morning Pals and Gal
Lots of trimming along the treeline this morning. That should get my pollen allergy into overdrive. This spring has been brutal in the northeast...I'm starting to understand why people move to the southwest to get away from it. I keep my reel of trimmer line in a bucket of water. Supposedly it keeps the line from off-gassing and getting brittle. Seems to work, break a lot less line since I starting doing it.

    Good Luck Ken! :fingerscrossed:

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Last day of spot showers, then a couple days off. Other than getting to playing with the steam cleaner, not sure what else is on the agenda. There's always something tho....

Quite cool, Mark! But that seems like a lot of shock wire to keep you all out!

Meanwhile, as the car owner was sitting in our upper field hunting turkey.......

    Turkey at car.jpg

He was pecking at his image. And, earlier this morning there were 3 hens on our patio cleaning up bird seed the birds knock out of the feeder while the Tom strutted his stuff in our back yard.

    Morning.
Working on the car after this weekend’s test session.

When you don’t have a flat spot anywhere on the car to secure a dial indicator, you improvise.

    @95SLE

Tom, I've probably said this before...but whenever I see a post from you with your POW•MIA I always think of my first cousin once removed, Raymond.

Raymond was a P51 Mustang pilot in Korea and was lost to ground fire on a bomb run. He's still MIA. His sister Helen is 102 y.o. and still speaks of him.

    Thank you.

    Afternoon all:

Mail order bees, that would freak the PO out if they were to somehow escape, amazing that they will even ship them and would bet that they are handled with care!
Hope you showed the hunter the picture of the gobbler by his car Mark, that should be enough to frustrate anyone!!!

Good thinking Mike, you do what ya gotta do!

That is what is known as "Ingenuity" Mike. That is the difference between a parts swapper and a true mechanic

God Bless Raymonds sister at 102 yrs old Dennis. It sure would be nice if they could bring Raymond home before she passes . Many MIAs have come home over the years but still many not found.

Headed to the neurosurgeon office next Monday to see what I can do to help my back get better. Trying to stay out in front of future major pain.

Sorry for your families loss. Really hard for a family to have closure for a loved one is MIA. With the advances in DNA identification there will probably not be an unidentified service man from the Vietnam Conflict intombed in the Tomb of the Unknowns.

Chuck you are doing it right. The only real time I have is in the morning. I am usually busy most every day.

Good morning. No music lesson today so I slept in till 06:30. Yesterday worked out great and came together as a smooth uneventful day with plenty of time for everything. Dinner came out great, it felt good to BBQ the traditional way. Here is a link to the recipe and you can do this on a gas grill. https://fb.watch/kAuF-xqqHa/
