Tacoma shell

Hey guys, my camper shell seems to have a bigger gap against the cab and was wondering if it should be more flush with the rear cab?

Could it be that I purchased a shell not made for my truck?

 

Looks like you're kinda hanging off at the back there. Loosen the clamps and push it forward. How's the gap between the rear glass and the tailgate?

 

That's what I was thinking, is that maybe I just needed to move it forward.
Honestly, I'm purchasing it this weekend and the seller isn't very good at English lol.

He said it's off his 2018 but im wondering if that shell is actually for a Tacoma.

 

If he can locate the ID plate and send you a pic you can call a dealer and see what it fits.

ID plate is usually just inside the rear hatch on the side

 

Your fitment does seem off. Re-adjust. Re-clamp

love the truck btw, and yeah I see yours fits flush against the cab, Maybe just needs to be pushed forward is what I'm shooting for.
I'm getting a great deal on it so just wanted to get some opinions!

As @b_r_o already mentioned, get the seller to send you a pic of the ID plate.
