Clutch pedal is gone. Going to get the GM gas pedal installed and run the Holley drive by wire harness through the old clutch pedal hole.
    IMG_4449.jpg

Once that’s done I’m going to tackle rewiring The whole truck.

edit: I bought the wrong bus bars so that rewiring thing is my gonna be on hold. I’m going to try and figure out the factory harness though.

I don’t even think the truck has been wrapped a full year, yet the vinyl on the roof is like a burnt bronze now. That’s really unfortunate. Guess I just need to pony up and have the truck painted once it’s all done. I really liked the color though. Maybe I’ll get it painted the Lexus Nori Green, or Caviar black. I’ve been thinking of selling the Lexus and buying an IS500 in caviar, but man black cars suck here in az. But it’s the most beautiful color out there.

I just thought, maybe dodge’s plum crazy would look good on this truck.

I like plum crazy and hellraisin on the challengers. Hard to beat black. It's gonna be hot this summer no matter what color you choose.

Upper core support made. It’s bolt on, so I can take it off and put the motor in.

Need to Make the lower, but It’ll be a little bit more tricky to make it bolt on, unless it’s just supported laterally and vertically. The hood latch will brace the upper and lower.

It’s coming along! What size battery try did you go with on the JD fab inner fenders? I have been throwing around the idea of getting those. Was just wondering what kind of clearance you will have under the hood.

This site will tell you everything you need to know about the factory harness https://www.lt1swap.com/wiringharness.htm . Its really not that hard to use the factory harness if you are keeping the engine stock. If you can follow the steps from LT1 swap this is all you will need to make it run https://www.amazon.com/12V-Relay-Fu...265191&sprefix=relay+box,aps,118&sr=8-2-spons

it’s the standard oem battery size, roughly 8x11. Group 24 I believe. I’m using an Antigravity battery(AG-24R-60-RS)

I’m not using the OEM GM harness, I’m using a Holley. I’m keeping parts of the OEM Toyota harness to run the alternator and starter and stuff.

Nice, but that looks expensive. Holley setup is 1100 or 1500 w 4l80. Kinda cheap for a totally tunable ecu with pretty damn good software.

Main reason to scrap abs in my opinion is just the room. The airbag setup works on its own with its own ecu. May have to just rewire the front impact sensors cause I think they are in the engine harness.

The spray on one? I saw a light blue job on a car that the guy had for a year and it looked brand new. It was nice af. I know the sun is way stronger out there though.

Core support is finished. It’s completely bolt on, so I can remove it to throw the engine in. But, got the hood latch and release all installed and it pops and locks just like factory. Really happy about that.

also, installed the hood. I’m going to hope the HOA buys my story that the JD inner fenders are really just off-road style fenders and that the truck is fully functional. Lol. I guess I’m not really lying.

I don't think it's a good idea to splice into the holley DBW harness to make the OEM pedal, nor do I have the pinout info for the Toyota pedal. Only the colors and some obsolete acronyms. Even the newer tacoma which shares the part gives me the option to view each pin but Toyota didn't publish any extra info.

Maybe I just put a spacer block behind the pedal, but as it sits, the GM pedal pad hits the ground/firewall before the mounting plate hits the firewall. too big.

That’s literally what I just thought of lmao. I think I want to shorten the rod a little bit too. I think I’ll still need a spacer on the backside. Might have something 3d printed. Don’t know yet.
