How does por-15 do against gravel chipping? That’s what I noticed on mine. My powder coat had a bunch of pinholes from gravel. Once the road salt got in there it went in behind the surrounding powdercoat and I could peel it off in sheets.

I’ve heard it’s super hard once it dries. Is that the case? In other words, after I put on final paint, does the por help it hold up to gravel better than regular primer and paint?

I had a 5 inch fuel version for about three years. I think I got it real cheap as a package deal sale. Only lasted me a few projects before it ate it’s own gears.

I had no receipt but decided to call up Milwaukee to see what they could do. They checked the serial number, and it’s build day was still under the warrantee period. Dropped it off at a repair shop and repaired it for free in less than a week. By “repair,” I mean they replaced the case, motor, gearbox, paddle, and slapped my old serial number on it lol.

pro tip, put some tape over your serial numbers if it’s just a sticker. Mine was almost worn off, and I would have been SOL if I couldn’t read it off to the friendly Milwaukee warrantee lady.

Well damn! Now I know how you were able to get such a clean finish on your campfire cooking setup! I had no idea an angle grinder was such a precision instrument!

Cropped from a picture I took last year.

    -M18 Fuel high torque 1/2"
    -M18 Fuel 1/4" hex drive
    -M12 Fuel 3/8 stubby
    -M12 Fuel "Surge"

I'd be happy to provide a current photo, but two of them are at work with me, and the other two are in the 4Runner.

How do you like the M12 Surge? Been thinking about possibly getting it.

I like it a lot for driving small to medium sized fasteners. It has decent power and is comfortable, and the best thing is how quiet it is compared to a typical impact.

I rarely use the regular impact anymore.

I wish! I could just put everything in a room, light some candles, put on some Barry White and let nature take its course. Free unlimited tools!

I work for a Toyota dealer. I just know that shipping freight through FedEx and UPS is an unmitigated disaster at their STL hubs, for no apparent reason

My opinion, yeah POR 15 holds up much better than paint. The 1st winter my paint was Salt blasted to bare metal. Last winter, the POR is still there. The bottom is scraped to bare metal from Moab, and went through winter that way. It is not peeling.
