Built a fence, cleared some land and laid some sod. 6DD13AF1-6BA9-4EFC-8A08-3B2FD8BEB924.jpg275D87EA-4F10-40E8-A2CB-26459847A9B8.jpg

Looks good. I would stick some crushed stone or river rocks next to the fence instead of the mulch so that when the mulch is wet it does not make the wood wet for a long time. I should allow the wood to last longer and will add a nice visual appearance.

Not a bad idea for another day. Neighbor's fence about due anyway, but I can do it along my short side fence and we have plenty of rocks!

Very dissapointed in seeds from Gurneys. I sent them a note about it to their customer service.

Some beans are susceptible to stem rot issues. Particularly when weather goes from cool moist to hot relatively quickly. Mine got messed up by this last year. Also many bugs like "bean shoots"

    Does sound like lousy seed.
    Otherwise is your soil good?

Yeah its where i had corn last year, we added more manure. And it only rained once before this so it wasnt overwatered. Its not a real big deal cost wise but still a first for me seeing green bean seed rot...

Built bases of 2 raised beds today too.
Tired. Family weeded and mulched our largest fig tree. Weeded 8 blueberry bushes and 2 apples. Weeded the pear bed. Sprayed 5 or 6 gal of roundup on the poison ivey. Kids picked blueberries.
We are beat. Will pick linden flowers (for tea) tomorrow.
Zuccinies are going wild, had to pull radishes from under them. Some are too small, but they were being chocked.

    What happens?
Ours are HOT. I usually eat mine straight with salt, but I cannot eat more than 2 or 3 at a time in this lot.
