I have Seafoam on hand (not the spray though)

I was under the impression that Seafoam was more effective for cleaning carbon buildup (which my Vulcan is prone to... known issue).
Also as a preventive measure to keep the fuel system clear... than for carb cleaning as such.
    Here's the thing:
Some people praise Seafoam as a panacea... which is probably going a bit too far.
In reaction to that, skeptics call it snake oil.
    Whom to believe?

    I know one thing.
For use solely as a fuel stabilizer, Seafoam is pricey.
    For that, I use Stabil.

Thank you all for your input.
Feel free to point out where I'm wrong.

    Here's what I'm gonna do:

Mix an ounce of the Fast Fix in a gallon of 90 octane real gas.
That's a double dose, but the bottle says "Overtreatment will not harm".
Then let the bike run on the mix for 15 minutes as per directions.

If, after that, the bike will idle without the choke on, I'll know it's had an effect.
Then I'll go for a ride.

Then I'll fill the tank and do the Seafoam thing for good measure.
I've been doing that for years, but only occasionally (once or twice a year) as a preventive.

It's possible that I forgot to add Stabil last Autumn I suppose :notsure:
