I'm working with vendors and a couple of our other mechanic shop dudes. We have four water wells on site and yearly PM we chemical clean the well and then the chemical has to be neutralize before we can discharge to river. We're still in the process of neutralizing now. Basically pump water from the well into a tank then mix with soda ash to neutralize whatever they use to clean well with ( muratic acid maybe). After the water from the well checks sat we'll drop in a new pump.20230518_090721.jpg

I purged the engine fuel system and got it running on an external tank. Once I'm satisfied that the engine didn't take any damage, I'll pressure test the fuel tank and see what's up.

    Runs better with gas..20230518_091601.jpg

    International Harvester Travelall, 1961-68.

Zoom in on the front fender behind the wheel, that round circle is the fuel filler.
    2 tanks were optional.

IH kept them there in the 70's, I almost bought a 1975 that had 3 tanks - left, right and rear.

My wife's out of town for the weekend for a funeral so I'm on full time daddy duty-took off today and tomorrow. We were walking around the block earlier and I noticed some cars piling up in an area they usually aren't. Check it out and its an estate sale at this beautiful Victorian riverfront home. They were selling inside contents this weekend and out building stuff next weekend so I'll be back. The man had graduated Vandy med in '53 and was a local radiologist. Anyways, I just really enjoy these historical homes that have endless custom woodwork, trim and built-ins. The house sits on almost 8 acres of prime riverfront real estate, historically the most valuable in the county. I heard someone mention that the land would be worth more without the house, I really hope that new money doesnt buy this land and put up some concrete modern monstrosity.

I’m with you on the old homes, the level of detail and craftsmanship is incredible. It looks like it’s been brought up to code, new windows and such, and well maintained. I really hope any new owners keep it like that too.
