I have a prerunner but the6 ft bed is messed up.

Is it possible to put a 5 ft Prerunner bed onto a prerunner frame made for a 6 ft bed ??

Would the attachment points be the same but a foot of bed would just be hanging out ??

Well assuming the 6 bolt holes or how ever many there are line up with whatever holes on the 5ft short bed frame it still sounds like the wheel wells would need to be modified due to what ski raccoon said above.
Was thinking of getting a frame that in better shape and putting my engine and tranny into the short bed Taco body/frame but sounds like i cannot put the long bed off my long Taco on the short taco. If the Taco dog was still around they could help.

    What a nightmare....

G@#$ Toyota dealerships and handling of frame recalls !!!!

The extra bed length is in front of the wheel wells. You will have a gap between the front of the bed and the cab.

okay i have an idea... get a 5ft box, cut it down fiberglass the 6foot fenders to the box again and it just might work. or be really cool to see someone cut down the sides of a bed to make the frame work

Thought the crew double cab short frame would allow a 6 foot bed to attach but there would just be a foot hanging out past the rear bumper. Why would that not be reasonable ?
