I just noticed that my front, right, outer boot is torn. If the axle is is in good shape, what is a quality replacement, outer cv boot replacement brand?
If not, what are quality replacement axles for a 2.5in lift truck? 2011 4x4 6cyl Double
cab Thanks for your time Red

I would choose OEM over O'Riley's Import Direct. Those are the only two I've seen. I caught a mechanic try to bait and switch me. Sold me OEM and put on Import Direct, I noticed the difference and got them to admit what they did. OEM looked way better, more solid, better boots and clamps.

From Toyota Part # 43430-04071 I paid too much for them as I'm found dealers websites that give discounts now. Like this site but there might be better https://autoparts.andrewtoyota.com/ FREESHIP promo code till 6/30/23. Good Luck

Toyota sells remanufactured axles. I'd go with that as first choice if available.

2nd choice is CVJ axles. They have a very good reputation and have a couple upgrade options.

Last I heard the OEM remans are on a national back order, but if you can find one- I would recommend it.

My first recommendation for OP is always going to be to reboot with an OEM boot kit- but admittedly that's coming from someone that has the tools and knowledge to do the job. Might be different if I had to pay someone to do it.

    CVJs are great, but $$$.

Keep in mind that if you have driven the truck for a while with the torn boot, It makes more sense to go with a new or reman axle. Once dirt and debris gets inside the axle they usually wont last long after that.

I am looking at CVJ, what other parts or seals are required to do the job correctly??
