Meh, they didn't actually have it there. Wont have it on the lot until first week in June. Told them I'm not committing to anything without sitting in the car first. They can talk all they like, but if sitting in it and driving it doesn't tickle the pickle, they're not getting my tundra.

    :annoyed:

Well this woodworker did some wrenchin' this evening. My mower's (Toro) been running a little funny. Just started this year. Inconsistent RPMS and starting on 4-5 pulls versus 1-2. Tried a couple tanks of high test with some carb cleaner...no dice. Put on my big boy pants and figured our how to remove the gas tank, fuel line, linkage and carb. Replaced the fuel line, disassembled, cleaned and reassembled the carb. Got everything back together and there was no difference. No clue what it could be. It's close to 15 yrs old, so may be time for an newer version.

I've ridden in one up here, I've been trying to get one for 6-8 months. Then the dealership goes and sells one to somebody who just randomly walked in in December. Guy showed up at the first autocross and hit a cone doing 50, caused almost 5k in damage to the bumper and other trim/plastics.

I like the durability of the Tacoma front bumper for that. I've annihilated my fair share of cones and done zero damage to my truck.

Just curious, did you make sure the choke wasn't sticking?

On another note, as much as I love the power of the tundra, I've been swapping between trucks all week. I've come to find that I really enjoy the driving experience of jamming gears and cranking along in the Tacoma. I've been doing all our parts running with it, and it's been fantastic.

Sounds like your carb took a ethanol dump.

He was a nice guy, I can't talk bad about him really. Sucks to do that much damage to any car with only 3k miles on it, we all cringed watching it happen. I'm more salty about the dealership selling it the way they did. But I'm still hoping to find a circuit someday.

Nah, he was at the last event with a new bumper already. Guy has some money... he's already started finding mods for it.
