Oh for sure… They’ll sell every one they make for whatever amount of money they choose. I’m sure I’ll be getting one. That’s just something that stuck out to me. Ugly, douchey looking, and generally unnecessary. For me anyway. Still like the truck and looking forward to reading specs.

It's not an Access Cab anymore, but an XtraCab. You can't open the back doors. No seats back there either.

"XtraCab, available on SR, SR5, and TRD PreRunner grades, is all about maximum utility and comes exclusively with seating for two, a functional rear cabin storage area, and a 6-foot bed. This configuration has no rear doors and no rear seat but makes the most of its cabin with all kinds of additional storage options."

Oh shit! The clamshell doors is what my wife and I like most about the AC, she is always saying how cool it is and so easy to toss things back there. fought with my 1st Gen extra cab for 20 years getting things in and out of it. Do like there is no seat. Man, no rear doors might be a deal killer.

    Leaf springs only too?

I was one of them, hated it when it came out, didn’t really care for the 2nd Gen either. I was a real retro-grouch and thought 1st Gen = Best Gen. Now like my 3G more. Finally seeing the 4G, not too terrible…but meh, a lot going on with that thing… maybe I’ll drive my 3G for about 20 years like I did my 1G, a simply just enjoy it and all places it has taken me exploring. That is why I buy Toyotas, drive them into the ground. Hell, we still have the 1G, waiting for the new engine to come in.

Makes total sense, I tend to make fun of the owners that uglify their trucks but again, ugly or beautiful is a subjective matter. So a big cheers for a big day.

At the 18 minute mark, that TRD-Pro interior looks like the last brothel I visited....

To all those claiming to 'Have a top level source' that there will be a V6...You're bullsh!t !!! This is proof to NEVER believe someone on here EVER has a 'source' at a car MFG. They don't.

Tacoma will offer two powerful and efficient powertrains using a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. For entry-level SR grades, this engine produces 228 horsepower and 243 lb.-ft. of torque. For all other grades, output increases to 278 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque when paired with the new eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence (ECT-i). Enthusiasts rejoice: a six-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT2) with automatic rev matching and anti-stall technology is available. Manual transmission models produce 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque.

I'm sold on the Trailhunter. The TRD Pro has too much going on. With the same fake hoodscoop.

Same here, the wheels to the interior etc. That's a winner and will sell well.

We don’t have a picture of the TRD OR yet, correct?

Since that’s a MT available truck I’m sure that’s the one a lot of us want to see.

Ford has a problem as the Bronco and Ranger are built in the same plant, Bronco is quite popular so the either have to limit Ranger or Bronco production.

That sucks. I open my rear access cab doors all the time to put stuff in there/take stuff out. Throwing stuff over the seat or moving the seat foward all the time sounds like a pita

From exterior render, they are pretty much the same except for
    • hood scoop
    • body color fender vs black fender
    • body color doorhandles
