I mean, you did in the post I quoted unless my reading comprehension is slipping. Not trying to troll just providing my perspective on how I interpreted what you said.

Your reading comprehension or lack thereof and your unsubstantiated statement. Trolllolloll

I said they go all the way to the bed rail for maximum strength. No where did I say this means it's inherently stronger than other designs, that's not perspective, that's perversion.

not sure how else to interpret “maximum strength” when having a discussion about the available options. Anyways not here to argue and I respect you for the content you post here. I’ll leave it at that.

Suggestion statement, "Hey Joe can you clarify what you mean by this?"

My patience on the internet is drastically falling and probably more so with TW, and thus becoming shorter and shorter, maybe I need a break for a bit.

    Sorry for being short

That’s because these trucks are pieces of shit. I have multiple cracks in the bed area from a camper shell and roof rack off-roading. And 6” long cracks in both sides of the radiator core support that have been welded and recracked and welded and recracked.

Note the crack going around a plate I had welded over the last crack.
    bed cracks
PS I’m sure bed stiffeners help. But my bed cracks happened with bed stiffeners.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Best way to tell if a part is metal is to use a magnet. I have my telescopic magnet in my glovebox at all times. Great for picking out the inevitable bolts and screws that fall into the engine bay.

The $20 as it is a spot I buy from regularly, and the work to be done outside of the business.

Getting a shell soon. Wondering if it makes a difference if I add the stiffeners before or after the cap is installed?

What he said. Brace the box BEFORE adding the additional stressor

My 23 Tacoma. Split on me today. 5 sheets of plywood on rack cracked from top corner half way through tire well. Anymore the box fender would of been laying on ground. Had to put a tie downs criss crossed tlo keep fender on . I can't believe there is no metal going across for support. I'm very disappointed.

o_O that's the front of bed!?!?

I don't think bed stiffeners were going to help you in that one.

What a bummer! Can you post a picture of the rack you have?

Notice this scratch mark on the headboard tube flange, which is aluminum. Was something sharp pressed against the bed corner?

I posted a while back if metal beds were better and everyone basically roasted me saying composite was a million times better and stronger, riddle me this why does every 2500 and truck that has a “real” payload capability have a metal bed? Hell even the tundra had a metal bed

lmao I highly doubt his story of 5 sheets of plywood is all that there is to it.

Ever noticed the dozens of dents and the rusted floors in a metal bed?

Didn't mention that the plywood was stacked on the wheel arches or on a diagonal. If they were that's probably why the bed has a punched hole with the sharp edge. If you try hard you can break any thing. Yeah my bed is scratched from hauling stuff but nothing is broken.
