I had a '16 Tacoma and had zero issues besides the factory not tightening the sunroof hardware, so it rattled. But that was a quick service at the dealer under warranty. No other problems for the time I had it. Sold it after it hit 70k miles.

looks just like 3rd gen shifter to me, I feel like they are reusing the exact same 6MT from 3rd gen, maybe gearing a little different

I take it back, the press release stated it's iMT, so auto rev matching, heck yeah, no more accumulator delete mod

I'm glad to hear they are keeping the manual. Now make DCLB's with a manual again! I had a 3rd gen DCLB and loved it except that horrible automatic transmission. I love my 19 but the 5' bed kinda sucks. If there's a BIG mileage advantage with the new ones I could be a buyer. But I really like my 19.

So after reading the press release, there's only going to be 1 powertrain option for the 6MT. We don't get the high output motor? SMH....

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

As an "Enthusiast" I was really looking forward to the 326 HP / 465 LB/FT TQ motor to be paired with the 6MT.

C'mon Toyota. You can do better

They messed up big time. Yes people will buy the manual, detuned Tacoma, but "enthusiast" want that H.O. Motor

Seems like Toyota went cheap and didn't want to put the money into developing the 6MT with the hybrid powertrain. Hence we get the detuned motor.

Can’t help but notice the METAL clutch pedal. Looks more ergonomic too. Only took Toyota 20 years to remedy that mistake.

Yeah, but I am glad atleast they kept the 6MT. It's 2023 and name one more automaker offering a MT in any new truck.

Every time I mention wanting more power all the old codgers here tell me I don’t need power in my truck and I should be happy with what I have.

I hope they give TRD Sport/OR a premium package that brings it to the same level of luxury as limited, Pro, such as all the tech upgrades, heated steering wheel, ventilated seats
that way we have 6MT and not missing out on features.

Yea, I'm grateful for the option but don't call it "enthusiast" option. Shoot, Porsche still offers their 911 GT3 in a 6MT still.

Exactly. After living with the 3.5L V6 for the past 6 years and the way its tuned with the Atkins-Otto Cycle, It's annoying. Ready for more HP/TQ.

Then why would you want 2.4 turbo hybrid 6MT. I would rather have the Tundra 3.4 TT with the 6MT. We can all dream!

The comparison to 911 seems a tad inappropriate. Now if the Ranger Raptor had the 6MT I would get mad!

I stand corrected! Sorry, Fiat doesn't register as an option to buy a new car for me!

Honestly, I had a ray of hope that they were going to surprise us with the 3.4TT 6MT Combo.. :(

Since they only offer us the higher output with the 2.4L Tubro Hybrid, I'd hope they would have offered it with a 6MT. They would take more profit as well from the sale, but I'm guessing in their eyes for production costs associated with that the pay off isn't worth the investment. Hope we have more clarity on this, and someone can ask Toyota this question if the 6MT will get the High Output motor!
