You’re welcome. I wasn’t aware of it either. Though think they mostly target Bro-Dozers.

I rarely use it haul people, think twice in the 1.5 years since I have owned the truck. Bought an AC specifically to use it as storage, that had easy access.

Flipping the passenger seat forward, means you have to walk around to the passenger side to get stuff in and out. My 1st Gen slid way forward, but still a pain to toss big gear bags back there. My wife drives it now and hates that about it. Loves my 3rd Gen because of the rear doors. I seriously use the driver side clam shell door every day, always grabbing stuff at the store and tossing it back there. They ticked off a lot boxes for just about everybody, and basically flipped off the access cab lovers. Fucking Toyota, always something they fuck up.

4th Gen, the rear bumper styling at each side tend to remind me of those mid 90’s Sonoma rear bumpers. One area I’m not a fan of. Everything else is awesome.

Gotta say - the 4 banger sounds shittier than the 3.5s lol. We are being down graded to an age where V6s will be the sought after power plant for the "throatier" exhaust note.
My stock is going up ! Haha.

Seriously though that Hybrid iForce is going to smoke previous gens on all fronts for power.
Albeit combined powertrain tech. Rather have Yota do it than anyone else though. They have the experience and parts bin.

I’ve had both, extra cab and access cab with the suicide door and the extra cab is ok, but the bigger and more plush they make the seats, the harder it will be to get things in and out. I have an AC now and it is by far my favorite truck, and one of the things I love doing is it opening the suicide door even if I’m not putting anything back there. But having a door that opens makes the space much more usable. I know it sounds stupid, and they’re probably not gonna affect too many people because access cabs aren’t that popular, but Toyota F-d that one up.

I really don’t care if it’s heavier because of no b pillar or if it doesn’t work for passengers, to access the back of the cab by sliding a seat forward… feels like they cheaped out.

I’m bummed too, they seem to be making the right choices in terms of storage, but not access. I love the folding seat concept, something I’m currently looking at doing to my current access cab. But without the rear door, tough to get things in and out.

I do like some of the things that they’ve done, I love the trail hunter wheels, but those are going to be expensive trucks for the higher end versions, but with the Toyota name, and all the cool features they’re putting on them, I’m not sure Toyota is really developing to the purists as much as they are capitalizing on a trend in the market around over landing.

sorry if i missed it - I looked through the storm of replies since, but does this list need to include or already imply the change to a boxed frame construction ?

Millennial here. I’m at that stage of my life where exhaust sounds are annoying to me. I would also attest that Zoomers and future generations won’t care about exhaust notes.

450+ lbs of torque is music to my ears regardless on how it’s generated.

I was only referring to the interior and was saying the Tacoma’s looks higher quality than the Tundra.
Maybe a 1 mpg bump is my guess for the non-hybrid.
The EPA rating will be hard to match in the real world because most folks are going to get into the boost when accelerating. Gotta keep an eye on that psi gauge rather than using the RPMs as your guide to efficient driving.

More interesting is that this engine isn’t more economical in the Highlander vs the V6. The improvement was nox emissions rather than fuel efficiency. This new truck has more than just an engine upgrade though, which is where I’d imagine the mpg savings comes in.

No offense, but the TRD Pro & Trailhunter are way too much in the looks department for me, I like the shelf above the glove box, but the interior like a mixed bag. Need more time.
    Here's the SR & SR5 from toyota's website.

Not bad at all, BUT, that's one bag-ass chin strap.....

I wonder of the 8 speed auto is the one 200 Land Cruiser for reliability? so far, no mention of direct-shift AT like in the Tundras 10 speed..
I also bet the 6 speed in based off the hilux's 6 speed for the diesel engines.... the 2.4's redline in 600 RPM lower than the AT... Why would it be that much lower?
6 Speed in DC only is to be expected, oh well.
It's weird that no calm shells in the "Xtra Cab." It is nice to see the utility package live on though, even the 'higher trims.'

Weird not much on the offroad. People saying some crazy numbers for the Pro. I think it will be 69Cdn and 54-55Usd. That color matched interior on the sport deff not my cup of tea. I think for myself depending in price will either be a Pro or Offroad with the hybrid. People waiting like over a yr for a new Tundra where I am from. How long will this be?. With different powerplants will the build quality be the same since they just throw the same engine in all of them?. Can you still get a 4cyl in the US? we have no 4cyl or 2wd in Canada. When do you think pricing will be available?

I imagine the TRD Pro seats will be a stand alone option at $1,495 to $2,995 on the Pro.
