Appears they killed off the Access Cab and going back to a 2 door limited access Extra Cab. Glad I got my AC while they were still available.

    Like these available options:

    - Sway bar disconnect by pressing a button
    - 33" tires stock
    - Turbo 4 banger / more power. Thank God
    - Rear coil springs = much better ride
    - Rear disc brakes

    Dislike:

    - Looks like a baby tundra
    - Hybrid = More stuff to fail, nope
    - The hand brake is gone

Now with all these variants, I suspect TW is going to Frankenstein these things even more!

    If it were me -
    Limited full time 4wd
    TH onboard air
    TH shocks
    TH/PRO ARB rear bumper
TH underbody armor except PRO aluminum front
PRO seats (might as well get the matching rear)
TH/PRO front with all the lighting
PRO fenders (painted black), looks like TH are unpainted plastic
Longbed (actually looks really good now)

    6MT :D

The fuck is up with the big ass air dam?

Other than that, Tacoma is still king of the segment. I like it. Can’t wait to see how much the OR/PRO/TH trims will be.
Cool they’re coming back with the Pre Runner.

I don't understand that decision. Why eliminate the door opening? Loved that feature on my 14. Now getting back there is going to be a pita. Does that save them money?

Depends on how they coat it but the fully boxed frame will hold water more than the open. But its more rigid though .

New Tundra reverted back to regular, spin on oil filter. Hope new Tacoma does the same.

From the stuff I have read, the hybrid is auto only. I was focused on if it would get manual because that would be my desired config.

    Lots of angularity.

I wonder if the auto transmission has a dipstick?

Any specs on ACTUAL ground clearance compared to 3rd's? I know it has OEM 33's :goingcrazy:but does that automatically mean greater clearance? I'm asking because the front looks "low" to me; you can't even read the TRD in the skid plate and, the skid plate looks almost flat.

If all the bitching on TW is going to be about parking brakes or the (removable) air dam then I think Toyota did a pretty damn good job.
