So does all the wire keep the other critters out? I want to keep bees, but they spray for mosquitos, so no bees for me....

Our apple trees came into full bloom and usually there are thousands of bees. Underneath the trees the noise of bees should be LOUD.

This spring I saw one honey bee, and a single bumble bee... and the blossoms are gone.

A few years ago, when my eastern red bud bloomed, the tree was full of bees.... now just a dozen or so :-(

Yes, it's an electrified fence to keep out bear and skunks, mostly. Having the bees around to pollinate our flowers, vegetables and fruit trees is a huge bonus ad worth the effort of keeping a small apiary.

    And, good morning fellow Porchatonians!!!

Good morning all! Ashley McBryde concert tonight at American Music Theater in Lancaster. Looking forward to that. Small venue that only seats 1300 so should be nice.

Saw her in Salisbury, MD last year. She is really good. I believe she opened for The Oak Ridge Boys.

Good morning. I am off to the cardiologist for my stress test.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/bill payers. @ImpulseRed008 maybe you can turn that credit card transaction around the other way? Instead of having the bank push the money to them, have the CC company pull it out of the account. My CC company lets me set up automatic payments that way, maybe yours does too.

We were in the Baltimore area yesterday to do some family and financial stuff. Had a nice dinner with the DIL's family. It was a good day.

The problem with that is many of the financial institutions offering credit cards do not allow you to pull money for charges which are pending but have not yet been fully posted. If one is trying to maintain a zero reporting balance on such cards, using pulls makes that difficult unless you stop using the card for several days prior to the reporting date.

Hope the test went well, Tom

I don't want them pulling $$ from my account.... If I had that done, then when I croak, it'll take them years to drain my bank account and none to leave for my kids... Plus doubt they'd pull the pending amount, too, which started this whole conversation ;). I found a way around their BS, so no more worries about it :D

Sue, I was doing the zero statement thing a while back, and got a ding on my credit report that was explained as zeros don’t generate reports to credit agencies, which are needed to demonstrate that a persons finances are being managed properly. I don’t buy it, but they gotta give some excuse for dinging you.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/@MQQSE ! Sinuses got me up early this morning, which made the cat happy because it meant he got an early breakfast. I'm going to do a bit of shopping early, then get back to work on the Caterham. I have a bit of fabricating to do, after which the engine will be ready to go back in the car. I'm really looking forward to getting it back on the road.
