Not sure how I feel about no V6 option. I get they are “improving” the 4 cyl but still not sure.

I'm excited to hear about the Hybrid. I'm hoping they release the towing capacities and range soon.

Glad to see that the air dam is not difficult to remove. It’s huge and makes the front too blocky. I do love the angle at the rear of the bed behind the wheels. That’s sporty and modern. I hate all these vehicles going to an oversized touchpad inside that looks like an iPad inserted into a slot. I prefer the instrument panel to blend into the dash seamlessly. Lastly, I’m not sure how I feel about the turbo engine in terms of longevity. It is a nice looking truck, though. Has a lot of features I want in a new vehicle while losing others. Always a compromise. I’m sure it’s going to be pricey as hell, regardless of trim level, with the dealer markups.

I think Toyota hit everything that needed fixing with this version. This is going to kill the competition. That said, a couple things that make me glad I got a 23 OR . . .

1 - I personally hate the big infotainment screen. I don't even understand how they can be legal honestly. How is this not terribly distracting to the driver? I know this Tacoma is just following the industry; but I still hate it.

2 - I don't want 33s on my OR. They look great; but most of my miles are highway. I don't need to push that much rubber.

If I were a buyer of the gen 4, I would be looking hard at the base engine in the SR. Power and torque numbers nearly the same as my current 6 cylinder and a cheaper way to get the MT than the trim level I had to buy last month.

The 2024 model launch video addresses all of the shortcomings of my 2019, and adds even more features. Bravo Toyota!

You all realize the purpose behind the low hanging air dam is to increase fuel economy so the figures on the window sticker will show higher right?

I wonder if the hood has struts or still the old metal stick?
Overall looks good and they have addressed some of the maddening things of the past. Can't remember if all levels now have USB for the rear seats? Parking break? They work fine, it just makes changing the pads a PITA.
Interested to see how the first year goes with quality as with all new gens.

I like it. I think they did a nice job with the overall design. The ARB partnership is interesting and according to the Toyota launch video you can spec those things on other trims. The pricing is definitely going to be interesting especially for the pro.

Has anyone found dimensions yet, specifically length? I want to know if I can still squeeze this in my garage. :D

I agree they did a fantastic job incorporating many previous gen gripes (i.e. rear disc brakes). I'm in Florida, so I would love to see the ventilated seat options for the Sport and Off-Road models.

I'd actually consider one now. I never liked the rear doors on the AC and the rear seats were worthless. Looks like now the rear is just storage now which is an improvement IMO

towing capacity is 6000-6500 depending on trim (hybrid is 6000, non hybrid is 6500)

they've said its within a few inches of the 3rd gen. some trims are 3" wider, length is mostly unchanged but wheelbase has been extended, cab height is increased 2.5".

I must be the only one who really hates the glossy fenders on the Pro.

thats probably just because its preproduction. In one of the videos they said that if things are glossy they aren't final parts.

I'm hoping they mimic the tundra flares with the camo. I think it would hide imperfections better, although probably not much.
