I like it, less the stupid center handle on the interior and light bar mount in the bed on the Trailhunter.

The light bar bed thing is the only part I don’t like. I’d buy a Trailhunter and just remove the light bar. Possibly replace it with a bed rack or GFC.

My wife’s RX350 has the electronic e-brake and I actually really like it. You feel it engage in park and disengage when you shift into reverse or drive. Makes for a very solid feel versus the typical sloshing around/ rolling back when you put an auto into park. Why is it that you want a manual e-brake?

For me, it's a simple confirmation that it's going to work 100% of the time.

I do, as long as the HVAC isn't buried in there, too. Give me a nice big screen for infotainment and cameras and real buttons for HVAC and other items you want to easily engage by feel. Toyota did this right.

Also, I think the screen size looks exaggerated in these photos taken from outside the truck. All of the "head-mounted" camera footage shows that the top of that screen is well below the hood line as you sit and drive.

Sharp looking redesign. I'm impressed, but I will wait for pricing, still I'm going Tundy next round.

no manual e-brake is a muff!
can it be deployed in true emergency, i.e. while moving?
and obviously can't be used to modulate movement... it's either on or off. if you have to ask why, then it doesn't effect you.

With hill hold systems in newer manual vehicles, there’s not much use for “modulating movement” with a manual e brake like there was in the past

I freaking love this thing, at least on paper. Let’s hope they fixed the seating position.

Yeah, I'm sure it might be easier and better to push a button. But, there goes the fun of learning how to drive stick in 1st gear on a hill, having to use the e-brake, trying not to stall, not rolling back, and not getting honked at. I guess I'm an old-timer who still likes the manual e-brake...even in an auto slush box.

i like the looks of the extra cab and glad they plan to continue to offer this as a cab configuration. i hope chevy adds it as an option in the new colorado.

but, as someone that purchased a '22 primarily for the 6MT and access cab, it looks like i made the right decision when i did.

Huh.. I completely missed that. The specs/trim images I saw showed the SR with a detuned engine only.
    This is encouraging nonetheless.

That center bar on the passenger side to the right of the shifter is (I imagine) to keep passengers stupid knees outta the way while you’re trying to shift. Can’t tell ya how many knees I’ve punched while shifting into 5th gear. I think the handle there is actually kinda smart but it does look a little close to the shifter when getting into 5/6 gears but who knows right now

Believe it or not, TFL has an informative video out where they speak with the 4G chief engineer.

Some good technical details are there, despite Andre and Roman going on about stupid shit.

They seem mesmerized by the power tailgate, which means absolutely nothing to me lol.

@Carmaker1 do you know the real reason why there is no AccessCab?
