The current tundra pro msrp is 66k so the new taco pro will be 60k and the trail hunter will be 65 to 68k starting before markup

current Tacoma trd off road is around 48k so the new taco trd off road will be low to mid 50s

keep in mind the new tundra is still having quality control issues even with the 2023 models (fit and finish) but then again tundra seems to be an after thought for Toyota

Agreed. I’m super thrilled with this truck. And I’ll own one once they work out the quality issues .. probably 2027 will he when I jump in so maybe drop a deposit next year. Toyota nailed it.

I wonder what the limit is on deep water fording for a hybrid?

If you watch the YouTube video posted, towards the very end you can see the white pro with what appears to be gas door lids on both sides of the truck.. I suspect you will have the ability to plug it in, but unknow if it's actually required or not

I hope it's a plug in hybrid, that would really save gas around town.

I'm not so sure they will be that expensive. If they want to compete with the other midsized trucks on price. For instance, even the new ranger Raptor is less than $60k. Also, the current TRD Off Road starts at $36k, not $48k...

Looks like they come pre-chrome deleted. Wow, so many options. Maybe too many options.

You are 100% right, all those toyota turbo diesels around the world that TW'ers lust for are all garbage.

Difficult to compare VW to toyota....

So the iForce Max is a plug in hybrid? If it's similar to Jeep EX4, that 465lbs of torque will last about 3 miles off road before you're down to whatever the turbo 4 puts out.

King 2.5’s with adjusters from accutune front and rear, 88 rotors rear add a leaf, Camburg X-joint UCA’s, Factory style trd pro 16” wheels with 0 offset, 285/75/16 KO2’s, pro grille, Front bumper viper cut, trd front skid plate, full RCI under skid plates, Cali raised trail sliders, exhaust cut dump, KDMax 10.0 tune
Prices are getting way out of hand. The new trd pro and trailhunter will easily reach $60-65k maybe even close to $70k. And that’s for a 4 banger! Definitely thankful I bought my 2022 when I did!

No. It’s just a regular hybrid. No plug in option as far as I understand.

6th gen 4Runner probably won't debut yntil Toyota gets this new Tacoma sorted out and production capacity to a reasonable level. When ever that might be.

With the new Tacoma available how many people will be considering a new 5th gen 4Runner? These two vehicles will be worlds apart in technology and amenities, there will be few customers who appreciate the older design of 4Runner. The Sequioa and Highlander, are also options for the SUV crowd. 4G Tacoma holds the reigns, when it comes to the wow factor. I think the 5th gen 4R will be done in 2024.

I would imagine the Pro and Trailhunter's prices will compare with the Ranger Raptor which is sub-60k. I highly doubt that Toyota prices themselves out of the midsize market not to mention the top of the line models.
I will be curious to see which will be more? The Pro has taken that crown since the inception of it.
Now dealership markups based on demand and availability could be a different story.
The 70's and 90's comments may be a bit out of touch with reality IMO:notsure:
California is the only state I have seen or heard of the $10 - $15000 markups.
I honestly wouldn't doubt if Toyota tries to undercut Fords pricing by a hair.
I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time. HA!
I may call my dealership i bought my Pro from and ask some questions for shits and giggles

That's actually a good point. I haven't really heard anything about that on other electric trucks (Rivian & Ford Lightning).
I guess I assumed it's non issue but obviously could be a big issue?
You'd think that shits all sealed up though.

The battery is inside, under the rear seats. So the batteries should be fine. Not sure about the wiring to the electric motors

It certainly looks like Toyota has addressed many of the complaints people have had and built the fixes right into the new trucks, not unlike what Porsche did back in '87 and include from the factory pretty much all of the aftermarket upgrades that made the cars better for the decade before. It ain't gonna be cheap though. Start saving your shekels and selling your Apple stock.
